Slightly unsatisfied with the other assorted mob spawner plugins, I decided to write my own for convenience. SimpleSpawners is a very light weight plugin that allows the creation of spawners with any of the Bukkit entity types. Unlike some of the other mob spawner plugins, SimpleSpawners has one command to give a player a spawner of a certain type, making it easy to use in conjunction with BuyCraft

Features

Spawn mob spawners of any type!
Doesn't have to be silk touch only harvesting.

Permissions

SimpleSpawner.give - Allows players to use /ss give [player] [type] [amount]
SimpleSpawner.get - Allows players to receive mob spawners when havesting with silk-touch
SimpleSpawner.get.nosilk - Allows players to receive mob spawners when harvesting without silk-touch

(Note that to use the nosilk permission the player must also have the get permission)

Commands

/ss give [player] [type] [amount] - gives the [player] [amount] spawner(s) of the type [type]

Configurations

None

EntityTypes (known to work)

CREEPER, SKELETON, ZOMBIE, SLIME, GHAST, PIG_ZOMBIE, ENDERMAN, CAVE_SPIDER, SILVERFISH, BLAZE, MAGMA_CUBE, ENDER_DRAGON, WITHER, BAT, WITCH, PIG, SHEEP, COW, CHICKEN, SQUID, WOLF, MUSHROOM_COW, SNOWMAN, OCELOT, IRON_GOLEM, VILLAGER.

This plugin bypasses lockette protection and it doesn't get logged to coreprotect....as well as bypasing towny protections. Could this be fixed?

When I do make a spawner, it keeps telling me the error that it is invalid or disabled. Help?

Use ServerSigns. It allows you to set commands per sings, with a certain price. You can bind the ss command to them.

This made all of my spawners be pig spawners

I used several numbers, they're all pig spawners, have a pig inside and spawn pigs.

Please fix this

This is so much better than silktouchspawners :s

However I would like to request a feature, is there a way to make each spawner show what type of mob it is? So a zombie spawner would have the name of Zombie Spawner, not like silktouchspawners does where it spams you with messages every time you hover over a spawner.

Its not really necessary, but it would help a lot :)

Hello, I thought to a thing, is that it would be possible to add to your plugin, function, can only drop spawners I asked myself, not the spawners that it found in the wilderness ?

this plugin is amazing. I have used it to make a mob arena and everything work. the only thing that a was sad about was the fact that the ender dragon spawner didn't work for me but everthing else works fine

will not spawn mobs when put down the spawner brakes. It use to work when I first loaded it. It quit before the 1.6.2 was released I tried deleting it and reinstailing but that did not work . I really like this plugin when it was working.
