SimplePing

This is my first plugin, I will update it most MC updates, so check back for new versions. So I made a plugins called SimplePing, it's another ping plugin, simply used to check if the server is responding! I will update it for future craftbukkit versions if it breaks! This is simply inspired by Essentials, with the /ping command, except if you want a vanilla server and not to be tempted to gamemode yourself(Before 1.4 came along and ruined EVERYTHING D:)!

Issues

Doesn't work in console
Conficts with Essentials and sends another message: /ping

Dev Versions

This is the latest version and may not have been approved by a Bukkit administrator! Use at your own risks! SimplePing Version 2.2

Todo

Add configurable partical effects on usage(For fun)
Disable usage in console
Add a reload command

Commands

/ping | This is the base command of this plugin!

Uses

This could be useful in servers that are in development and need someway to tell if they are responding or your plugin just doesn't work! Or in any server that doesn't want crazy commands from essentials!

Can you make it the players latency instead like ping in ms example Player /ping Console: Your ping is 200ms

It would be a great way to check lag.

@tdktkd You've got a Wrong "Monarchy" - Let's try to get this in your Code: it should be:

if(player instanceof Player){ if(commandLabel.equalsIgnoreCase("ping")){ if(player.hasPermission("simpleping.ping")){ player.sendMessage(ChatColor.valueOf(getConfig().getString("Color")) + getConfig().getString("PongMessage")); } } } else{ return false; }

BTW: Try to get the YML-Standards - 4 Spaces, if you go on Monarchy down.

Still is allowing the command from the console! Here is a bit of the code!

if(commandLabel.equalsIgnoreCase("ping")){
            if(!(player instanceof Player)){return false;}
                if(player.hasPermission("simpleping.ping"))
 player.sendMessage(ChatColor.valueOf(getConfig().getString("Color")) + getConfig().getString("PongMessage"));

Why does one of these commands cause a crash? All it does is return text, right?

Use:
if (!(sender instanceof Player)) {

to deny Usage via Console. Return false, if ! == instanceofplayer.
