SimpleJailr
Simple Jailr
What it does
It allows you to build a jail however you like and gives the commands to throw a player in jail for eternity or a set time. It prevents placing/breaking of blocks and usage of just about any item while jailed. It stops commands being used, except the /jail command (so they can see the time they have left with /jail info). It also (optionally) stops chat. Fully complete with permissions.
How it works
When a person is jailed, they are teleported to a set of coordinates. When they are set free, the plugin executes the command(s) that are in the config to do whatever you wish (by default it does /spawn).
Features
- Full block/item use protection
- Prevents commands from being used (except for /jail commands)
- Timed jail sentence with auto release or an eternal sentence option.
- Works on both online and offline players
- Admin defined jail point and leave commands
- Optional chat blocker
- Optional time extender (for those who try to break/place blocks)
- Fully customizable languages (in the config file)
- Does not use a database (only a simple file with the name and time they are locked up until)
- Logs who added/removed each player with the duration in the server.log file
The set up is
- Copy the plugin to your server/plugins folder
- Restart/reload (restarting is better) the server
- Give yourself perms for admin at the least
- Change any config.yml options (or change em in-game via the admin commands
- If any options were changed directly in the config.yml, restart/reload
- Enjoy!

You may be able to use permissions.yml in your server directory however, I would suggest utilizing a permissions plugin. Once you get it installed, the permissions for the plugin can be found at:
http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/simplejailr/pages/permissions/
Also, FYI, the plugin hasn't been updated in a while. It may still work with one exception: It will not block chat.
I want to fix this and also add multiple jails however, I've been so busy with other things, I just haven't had the time..

Posted Sep 17, 2013Hi: I have a server, i'm the owner and i'm OP but when i try to set the jail appears this:
[Jail] You do not have permission for that! /jail <action>
I dont know what a permission is, or if means that i have to write something in permission.yml, but i think if i'm owner and op, and the only one in the server (for the moment) that must be the all necesary requirements.
Please tell me what to do and if i'm wrong. Thanks

I don't give any permissions to ops or any player by default, so you must have the "simplejailr.admin" permission for your player and/or group to use the /jail set commands.
Check out http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/simplejailr/pages/permissions/ for the list of permissions.
I hope this helps ya!

I *think* you'd want to use something more like:
users:
Hoovkid:
permissions:
'*'
simplejailr.admin true
simplejailr.jailor true
groups:
- admin
groups:
default:
permissions:
permissions.build true
admin:
permissions:
permissions.*: true
inheritance:
- user
user:
permissions:
permissions.build true
inheritance:
- default
messages:
build: '&cYou do not have permission to build here.'
debug: false
Edit: for some reason my spacing isn't showing.. There should be another set of 4 spaces in front of the simplejailr. lines, making them indented more than the permissions: line.

No it does not. If there is enough demand I may add it. Anyone else want/need this feature?

I stopped in to see what a prison server was all about. I'm still sort of confused but I got an idea of it. Picked up a bunch of stuff from a dead guy. :P

Thanks for the donation! I just finished the last of adding the teleport release option.
Until it's approved it's available at: http:dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/simplejailr/files/4-simple-jailr-0-3/
Check the commands page for the updated commands for it.
The plugin still defaults to the command option for any one not wanting to use the change (so no action required if you upgrade).
