SimpleChangeName
This plugin changes the name of the player, with his name tag.
It is very simple and easy to work with.

/cn <new name,reset,view,reload,toggle> | /cn <online player> <new name,reset>
Permission: admin »»
/cn <new name> » Change your current name to a new one.
/cn <reset> » Reset your current name to default.
/cn <online player> <new name> » Change a player's current name to a new one.
/cn <toggle> » Enable or disable the plugin.
/cn <view> » Look the full list of players who are using the name change.
/cn <reload> » Reload the config file.
Permission: allowed »»
/cn <new name> » Change your current name to a new one.
/cn <reset> » Reset your current name to default.

Posted Jan 10, 2021This worked well. One thing I would like added is the ability to change the color of your name as well, but for now I just use colored scoreboard teams.
One minor bug: My username is Lightningtow. I attempted to change it to Light, then Lightning, and each time I was told my username was already in use. Frustrated, I typed /cn ogtihfaiofh and it changed successfully, and from there I was able to change it back to Light. So it appears it bugs on shortened versions of preexisting usernames.

Posted Aug 19, 2020this works perfectly on 1.16 servers. i changed my name to owner by saying /cn Owner. this is amazing
