SimpleCensor

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of Minecraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

SimpleCensor is a plugin which simply replaces words with your words.

Highly recommended! Change your config! As a result of all this I've included some options most of you may not want. Such as references to girls being all but removed! Capitals are enforced on all messages as the percentage required has been set to 0!

Having trouble with people complaining about non-existing lag?
You want to prevent people saying the N-word ?

This plugin is what you need!

What makes this anti-censor better than others?

Well, instead of a big config for your options you have to only set the bad words.
Instead of replacing the words with * you can replace it with your own words.

The censoring not playing nice and is censoring words such as 'grass' because it has 'ass' in it?
Add the words to exceptions!

You can also manage caps, Don't like how these people just talk with their caps all over the show? Thats fine, I'll fix it for you!

You can also censor commands, Such as /msg, People will no longer be pm'ing offensive things to each other..
Completely configurable.

Permissions

To bypass the chat censor you need the permission SimpleCensor.Bypass
To enable/disable/reload chat censor without being a op you need SimpleCensor.Enable

Commands

If you want to disable it or enable it. Use /censor <enable/disable>
If you want to reload the configuration use /censor reload
(You must either be a op or have the permission SimpleCensor.Enable)

In action:

If I do add to this plugin, I plan to keep it simple.
Its a drag and drop into the server, Then if you wish to change the preset words.
You just delve into the config.

Color

If you wish to add colors just use & then a color code.
Color codes are below

If you getting errors in your config after adding colors.
Surround the string in single quotes like so

Hi, I have problem with Herochat. Correcting words works fine, but when I try to replace words and not display this censor to player, I see this

(tried botch MONITOR and LOWEST true, and one of each true, but nothing)

All of em. Each feature makes lag. Its a tiny amount of lag however no decent server should notice.

Appears to not be working with factions. There are no errors generated. Tested with and without factions, and, without factions the plugin actively works, and without it it doesn't.

I really like the idea of tis but it wont seem to work with herochat. I parsed the yaml and fixed every problem too. Does anyone else have this problem with herochat? If it is fixable, please try to fix it, this plugin is very promising.

I used the one that installed with the download. Its quite large. Do you mean I should try using just:

censor: words: 'list,of,words,to,censor,in,comma,separated,format' char: '*'

The config file I have looks like it was written by a overcaffinated programmer late at night.

This is only working in private chat.

I'm guessing its because of this section of config:

This censors the commands. Basically a way to censor people talking with that fancy chat plugin with special commands..
As I'm not going to be writing special code so it looks real and formatted, The chatter will see their censored message.
Aside from /me. As its already something that no plugins auctally touch, It will be supported there.
Aka. Add commands here to censor them. Add a number after the command to say how many words after the command to censor at
Add 'true' or 'false' if the first letter should have caps. As in a private message should have it.
But a /me shouldn't.
Eg - /msg 1 true
This will ensure you can censor /msg and it doesn't censor the playername. But it censors the message
This will also respect your other settings. Up to and including the caps!
This isn't required if the command calls a 'AsyncPlayerChatEvent' CensorCommands: - /me 0 false - /msg 1 true - /r 0 true - /tell 1 true - /pm 1 true - /whisper 1 true - /message 1 true

I'm using essentials and factions, which I think modify chat, so I'd need to add whatever the global channel has become here.

Problem is, I don't know what it would be. Any help would be appreciated.

This stopped working in chat on 1.5. We use PexChat Multigrouped for a chat formatting plugin

Try removing plugins one by one until it works
