This plugin enables a player (most-likely an admin or owner) to save a book using a command. Then, any player on the server can spawn the saved book. This plugin is perfect for uses such as creating a book with the server rules in it, then allowing the players to spawn that book whenever they wish to refer back to the rules.

Added in Version 1.1
You are now able to create signs that members can click to spawn books!
To create a book spawn sign, type [Book] on the top line, then the name of the book on the line below that.
Book names are case-sensitive!

Fixed in Version 1.1.1
Books that are saved with a space in the title will be referred to when spawning, in permissions, etc. by placing an underscore where the spaces are in the title. i.e. Book named "The Rules" will be saved as "The_Rules", so that means spawn using /book The_Rules and add permissions with sbs.book.The_Rules

Commands

/savebook - Saves the book in the player's hand
/book <book> - Spawns the specified book
/booklist - Gives the player a list of all books that they have permissions for

Permissions

sbs.savebook - Allows the player to save books
sbs.book - Allows the player to spawn books
sbs.book.<book> - Book based permission where <book> is the name of the book. i.e. You create a book named "rules". The permission they need is sbs.book.rules
sbs.signcreate - Permission to create a book spawn sign

ok so i tried using the sign create thing....i set up the sign but it doesnt work cuz on the top line i get?a[Book]. what the actual hell?

Hi amhokies and other ! :) I'v an issue with this awesome plugin. http:pastebin.com/LyeL5FLA what does it mean ?

There a few days, this plugin works perfectly with this craftbukkit but... now i've this issue with the SAME craftbukkit (so i think no configuration error). SimpleBookSpawn is very important for my server. Someone can help me ? :)

Does this work with 1.7.4 AND can you set it up so that players on first spawn get a book or set of books?

I made my own book. The config didnt come with a book. (I stuck a book save file in book saves folder.) Ah I see I cant use a book editing program. I have to create the book in game. Sorry!

When I make the sign it dosnt turn green like in the picture. I have OP and all the permissions. Even then when I right click the sign I get no book! Also would it be possible for you to add book on join?

I fixed one error that was happening when the plugin enabled, but it shouldn't really affect anything as far as plugin functionality. If you're still having problems after you download 1.2.1 (just submitted it, so you'll need to wait for it to be approved), please submit a ticket.

AHH IT'S NOT WORKING :O, okay it's just not giving the book everytime i shut down the sever, it gets rid of the save of that book, yet when i go into the SimpleBookSpawn file, it just seems to have the books their running PERFECTLY fine... I haven't been on here much so should i post the error log in a Ticket or here?

Edit: It also says that's it's "outdated" i just got the v1.2 and it's all derp-like

Hey there got a Problem mit Bukkit 1.6.2

It doesnt save Books anymore. It tells me it saves it but it doesnt save ^.

is there a way to make a player spawn with this book upon first joining also please add a config reload command so that i don't have to keep reloading the server to see the changes

Thanks for reporting these :)

The issue with the space in the book title has been resolved as soon as the jar file I just posted is accepted by an administrator. The fix for this is that in order to spawn these books, you will need to place an underscore where there is a space in the book title. For instance-

You save a book with the title "The Rules." It will save in the Book Saves file as "The_Rules.yml", so in order to spawn it the command you need is /book The_Rules with the permission sbs.book.The_Rules.

As for the other issue, I'm not entirely sure what it could be. The signs seem to be working correctly for others. Check the console for any errors, try it with different book names, replace the sign in a different area, etc.

Hey amhokies,

That's a really nice plugin and I'm definetly going to use it on my server. But I still have some problems:

If the title of the book has spaces (e.g. "Test Book") and I try to use "/book Test Book" the plugin tells me that this book doesn't exist
And the signs get created ([Book] turns green) but if I click on them, nothing happens

I hope you can fix that ^-^
