Commands

requires OP or permission: SimpleAnnouncements.setup

Executing /sa will show this list.

/sa list
/sa find [Search string]
/sa add [Announcement]
/sa rem [Start of announcement to remove]
/sa tag [New chat tag]
/sa interval [Interval in minutes or sconds]
example: /sa interval m5 ==> would be 5 minutes
example: /sa interval s5 ==> would be 5 seconds
/sa save
/sa reload
/sa onlywhenplayersonline [on/off]

I currently needed a good announcements plugin myself, so I am now completely rewriting this plugin, to allow for more customization and to fix all of the bugs that were present. I'm just posting this to let anyone that is interested know.

This just started recently, but when booting bukkit, SimpleAnnouncements hangs for a few minutes attempting to update. Would be nice to have an option to turn off automatic updating.

I've also had issues with /sa rem

What are the color codes, and how are they implemented? I tried &d for red, &l for bold, etc, but it didn't work.

The plugin is a bit glitchy on ForgeBukkit, MCPC+ Builds.

I tried to remove an announcement several times using the /sa rem command, it just doesn't want to work and keeps showing me the command menu.

I also tried to manually remove it using the config, and everytime I do reload, the announcement just goes right back on.

The best way to change the settings, is to turn off the server, edit the files, save them end then turn the server on again. I will look into the colors problem.

How do I use the Tag to set color in the announcements? I tried using the &c etc, but no matter what, it's still white text. It kinda gets lost in all the text without a way to make it stand out more.

Edit: I figured it out. You have to make the changes from the command line in game, and not from the config file.

Is there a way that you can configure this so it will actually use the config file for offline changes? If I change anything in the config, it is overwritten when the plugin is loaded. Also, /reload is not allowed on Tekkit servers, so that option doesn't work to reload the plugin.

/sa rem does not work, i have tried removing the announcement that was there by default, and it just replies back with the command list

Hi, I've noticed that every time I added a new announcement, from command, it resets the interval time back to 5m
