Simple Prefix: Allows you to easily manage your chat with prefixes and suffixes.

This plugin uses prefixes and suffixes that are very easy to configure, from inside of an yml config file. You apply prefixes and suffixes per user or group in the /SimplePrefix/config.yml file.

Alternatively, Simple Prefix can be configured to get the prefixes and suffixes from Vault supported chat plugins instead (PermissionsEx, bPermissions, etc.)

You can fully alter the chat format. For example, you could achieve the following ingame:

[Admin] Flabaliki: my message here

Or even, just completely mix and match the template to get the look you want.

A developer API is available to those who wish to access prefixes and suffixes and use them within their own plugin. Click "Metadata" above.

That's basically what this is, just a lightweight plugin for quickly getting your prefixes and suffixes to work, however you want.

Read the Configuration page for instructions on how to use the plugin.

Offline mode server support (using usernames instead of UUIDs)

Installation:

Place Simple Prefix.jar into your plugins folder
Restart or reload your server
Edit your config.yml (see here for info)

To remove a prefix or suffix, leave [prefix] and [suffix] out of the command

Use the permission simpleprefix.<group name> to add a person to a group.

As of version 2.3.1, this plugin uses an automatic updater to check if you are running the latest version, and if not, it downloads the latest version. To disable this please set "Auto-Update" to "false" in the config.yml file.

A plugin with a chat variable was developed for me, but when I add the variable to SimplePrefix, I get the following error in console, and chat turns to the default layout for EssentialsChat. http://pastebin.com/E0RT2w02

The person who made me the plugin said he has no idea why this is happening. Any fix that you know of?

Ah, I see, lol. Well, what can you do, eh? :P

I seem to be having an issue where when I use the /spr suffix command, it applies whatever I type as a prefix instead. I'm using version 2.3.3. Am I typing something wrong, or is it a config problem? Or perhaps something else?

EDIT: I'm terribly sorry, I mixed those two up - I edited the post to reflect what I really intended to say. This is why I shouldn't ask for plugin support at 2 AM, lol.

I don't believe that is possible with the current versions of Simple Prefix and McMMO. I may make an update to add this.

Did you actually read the quote I pasted in my previous comment? Read it again.

Basically, what it's saying is that if a person has permissions for more than one group (which I am sure your admins do), make sure the group that is more important is higher up in the config. What you did is write default first, and admin next, but it should be the opposite way around, in the config.

"If the user has multiple nodes, for group prefix or suffixes, the top most one in the config.yml file will be used. For example, if a user has both; simpleprefix.owner and simpleprefix.mod, then the owner group should be placed above the mod group, in the config file. This will make the owner group more important than the mod group, and owners won't get the mod prefix."

well,on my server this plugin no works fine,in my admin group i put the perm simpleprefix.admin: true,but in the game i have the prefix of the normal member,help me pls

Don't you guys think this plugin should have a max character limit? A lot of people on my server get banned for doing that after donating for it.

Then you shouldn't use any of the 2.3 versions at all. Starting with v2.3, all of them use UUIDs.

Why don't you use the latest, v2.3.3 instead? The latest is always the recommended one.

Hi,

If I use only SimplePrefix for group prefix and not for personal prefix, is it better to use version 2.3.1 or 2.3 ?

(Sorry for my bad English :/ )
