About Simple Horse Spawn
Want horses in your world, but don't want to hunt for fresh chunks? Maybe you just want a simpler way of obtaining a horse? Well, Simple Horse Spawn is the plugin for you!
Commands and Permissions
| Permission: | Function: | Assosiated Command: | Default Value: |
| horsespawn.spawn | Allow the spawning of horses via wheat | None | true (enabled for everyone) |
| horsespawn.spawncommand | Allow the spawning of horses via command | /horse | true (enabled for everyone) |
Configuration
| Option: | Function: | Default Value: |
| UsePermissions | Whether or not to use permissions | false |
| EnableCommandSpawn | Whether or not to allow horse spawning via command | true |
| EnableWheatSpawn | Whether or not to allow horse spawning via holding wheat + right clicking | true |
When an option is set to "true" it's enabled, when it's set to "false" it's disabled.
Example: Set "UsePermissions" to "true" to require permissions in-order to spawn horses
How To Use
- Put HorseSpawn.jar in your Plugins Folder
- Start your server
- Stop your server
- Configure the values in HorseSpawn/Config.yml if needed
- Assign permissions to users / groups if needed
- Start your server again
- Spawn a horse via the prefered method (Command, or by holding wheat in your hand)
- Enjoy your new horse!
Requirements
- Bukkit 1.6.2+ and Java 6 or Java 7
- If you wish to use enable permissions for Simple Horse Spawn, you must have Vault enabled

Posted Sep 30, 2013This is great, thank you :) Though, one problem I'm having with it is that it can't be used inside an area with WorldGuard flags that prevent mob spawning, would be great if there were some way to override that...

Awesome.
I want to be able to host it from the console, and choose at what player it spawns.
For that reason the other plugin doesn't help me anyways.
Edit: Could it also be possible that if the command has a specific flag like -m in start, the play will be auto mounted on the horse?

I took a look at the plugin you mentioned, and, although I like the idea, the idea for my plugin is to be a simple solution for horse spawning :)
I may add a few of the things you mentioned, but, I still wish to keep it simple

good idea,
Maybe also a good idea would be able to add permissions for certain groups to be able to spawn certain things, even if it was 1 permission allows you to spawn the basic horse, and the other permission allows you to spawn all, tho specifics would be nice

I found a better one, its not the same as /horse [type] you do /horse buy [name] type then /horse s or /horse summon [name] I'll pm you the link, I don't want to take away from this guys work

Posted Jul 26, 2013Would it be possible to have horses spawn with armor of choice, with a saddle, and tamed on a player of choice? (Console command)
/horse <player> <armour.type> <breed.type>
Been searching for a plugin like this for a long time, couldn't find it so decided to suggest it here.

Please may you add a command ("/horse") and when a player executes the command it will automatic spawn a horse it must be tamed + with saddle and please when you do the spawn method add a line saying ("horse.setPassenger(player);")
