Simple Blood
This is just a very simple small plugin which I created because none of the blood plugins out there seemed to work for my server. It adds blood particles to players and mobs when they are damaged by another player or mob.
There is no config file for it, however I will probably add one in an update along with different effects for each mob.
To install it simply drag it into the plugins folder of your server, and then you are ready to go and punch some mobs :D
Check it out on my PvP server: mc.vortexnetwork.net
TODO:
- Add a config file.
- Add different effects for each mob.

This is my first plugin, so if you have any feedback / suggestions, I would love to hear from you.

Just speculation here, but your account was made today, soooo alt account of the author who's plugin you linked? :P
Still, they are both very similar plugins. Though it's a copied idea, which I'm sure has been done even before that other blood plugin, the same could be said for many, many other plugins - not all of them are completely original.

Posted Jul 24, 2013Sorry, I was away on holiday when the Bukkit staff asked for some changes to be made to the file. I didn't make them in time so it was removed. Have just reuploaded and it is awaiting approval now
@pilvimaa
I will look into the Spigot issue. Bear in mind that this is a Bukkit plugin, so there may be some issues with Spigot.

Posted Jul 15, 2013I can't get this to work on my server. Using Spigot 1.6.2 build #1032.
No blood.
No errors on console. Says it loaded up fine and is enabled.
EDIT: One user is saying that it works with vanilla client. Another is saying that he has vanilla client and can't see blood. I can't see blood with latest Optifine. I'm not really sure what is going on but I will do some more testing.
EDIT2: No blood for me with vanilla Minecraft either. How very strange that one user says he can see the blood and he says it looks cool.

The file is just currently waiting for approval. I will add the customizable stuff into the config when I add it and I will try and add a permissions node. I will also add different effects for each mob in a future update, possibly even customisable.
Thanks for the feedback

Posted Jul 14, 2013Looking forward for your release. I will be keeping tabs on this. This is exactly what I've wanted for some time now - and keeping it simple. Just the particle effects, no funky red wool blocks on the ground etc silly things.
Anyway. The config would be a nice addition and a permission node to be able to see the blood. Also: more damage = more blood. And maybe you could customize how much blood you want to see in general.
And you should be able to disable/customize blood for certain mobs. For example iron golems - they don't have blood - they're made out of iron.
