Description
Ever wanted to move a mob spawner? With SilkSpawners, you can now pick up and move monster spawners.
If you use a pickaxe with the silktouch enchantment you will receive the spawner again.
You can control each mob spawner, allow crafting and of course mod support.
I'm happy to hear about your opinion, just leave a comment with a feature request, bug, improvement or just a personal opinion.

Commands
Only the bukkit permissions are supported!
I highly recommend that you use a plugin for permissions like bPermissions
If no permission system is found, all commands are for OPs only!
If you suffix a mob name with egg you will receive an egg instead.

/ss help - Displays the help menu.
/ss list|all - Displays all available creatures.
/ss view - Displays information about the viewed spawner.
/ss reload|rl - Reloads the configuration files.
/ss change|set <newMob> - Changes the spawner you are currently holding or viewing at.
/ss give|add <player> <mob> [amount] - Gives a spawner or egg to the player. Amount is optional.
/ss selfget|i <mob> [amount] - Gives a spawner or egg to you. Amount is optional.

Known Bugs
- If sign shops are not working, you may want to try my custom sign shop addon: https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/12028/
- Mobs like Ghasts or Giants are too big for the spawner, this a Minecraft bug and I can't fix that
- Some older Essentials versions/ports are not updated properly for 1.8. There is a maintained fork called EssentialsX you should try.
- If you use Gui Sign Shop and users are unable to place spawners, you need to grant them the guishop.spawner permission from Gui Sign Shop
- Holographic Displays makes Slime spawners non functional
- UltraCosmetics, causes some spawners to non function: https://github.com/iSach/UltraCosmetics/issues/259

Disabling bStats
The file ./plugins/bStats/config.yml contains an option to opt-out.

getting the mob type from the name, due to the Vanilla 1.8 changes, is possible again.
That means no more pig spawners placed when upgrading from 1.7.X
You need to turn useLegacyName to TRUE in the config.yml.

It seems like previously mined spawners were labelled with green and white letters do not work (as in the old format possibly) they just turn to pig spawners, which is not good.
The "new" format which is yellow and white letters seem to work fine. These are newly mined up spawners it seems.
I am not sure if this has anything to do with it. I just did some more testing and it seems like if you store your spawners in a chest and take them out, they don't work. Like they lose their data.
Just kidding, I tried it and that doesn't seem to be an issue. Also tried rebooting the server with them in a chest and no issue. Anyways, it seems like some spawners are just plain broken. Maybe add in something to detect the name (properly formatted since name tags can't color name items) and use that possibly? If not - used as a config setting.
This is a very jumpy unorganized post, and I apologize. Help, please.

Please check your WorldGuard version. The issue is caused by WorldGuard. SilkSpawners just uses the region check of WorldGuard

If not, ignore me, but it sounds like a similar issue, that should be in the next spigot release... and may just fix itself?

In localization.yml I set

But this makes it say a blank message in chat.
How can I disable this?

If I move a spawner between inventory slots while in Creative mode: 1. the spawner info in chat stops working, and 2. the spawner disappears from my inventory when I log out. This happens with the old and new versions.

Yes, I assumed that this was a Spigot/Vanilla bug really. So now lets hope that Spigot will fix this. We made it temporarely solution as admins to block mobspawners from placing. We recieve mobspawner, place them, using egg to change their type. It creates some daily work, but then we also have control over what ppl have of spawners or not. And specially after the dupe-glitch of mobspawners that has been fixed now.

I just realized that names can be part of a kit. So define the spawner kit like this:
This causes the name to be attached to the spawner when the player gets it from the shop, which results in a better user experience than the old version!

Yes, old versions will ignore the NBT tag. They simply don't know about it. However you could use the new 3.6 or dev builds with 1.7.10, too ;)

Before upgrading my production server, would it work if I went through players' inventories and edited the NBT data to add the SilkSpawners/entityID tag to everyone's spawners? Will the old version of SilkSpawners leave the new tag alone?

With the latest build it says when placing spawner and become pig spawner: "Placing default spawner (either this spawner is invalid or disabled)".
