Description
Ever wanted to move a mob spawner? With SilkSpawners, you can now pick up and move monster spawners.
If you use a pickaxe with the silktouch enchantment you will receive the spawner again.
You can control each mob spawner, allow crafting and of course mod support.
I'm happy to hear about your opinion, just leave a comment with a feature request, bug, improvement or just a personal opinion.

Commands
Only the bukkit permissions are supported!
I highly recommend that you use a plugin for permissions like bPermissions
If no permission system is found, all commands are for OPs only!
If you suffix a mob name with egg you will receive an egg instead.

/ss help - Displays the help menu.
/ss list|all - Displays all available creatures.
/ss view - Displays information about the viewed spawner.
/ss reload|rl - Reloads the configuration files.
/ss change|set <newMob> - Changes the spawner you are currently holding or viewing at.
/ss give|add <player> <mob> [amount] - Gives a spawner or egg to the player. Amount is optional.
/ss selfget|i <mob> [amount] - Gives a spawner or egg to you. Amount is optional.

Known Bugs
- If sign shops are not working, you may want to try my custom sign shop addon: https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/12028/
- Mobs like Ghasts or Giants are too big for the spawner, this a Minecraft bug and I can't fix that
- Some older Essentials versions/ports are not updated properly for 1.8. There is a maintained fork called EssentialsX you should try.
- If you use Gui Sign Shop and users are unable to place spawners, you need to grant them the guishop.spawner permission from Gui Sign Shop
- Holographic Displays makes Slime spawners non functional
- UltraCosmetics, causes some spawners to non function: https://github.com/iSach/UltraCosmetics/issues/259

Disabling bStats
The file ./plugins/bStats/config.yml contains an option to opt-out.
The following data is read and sent to https://bstats.org and can be seen under https://bstats.org/plugin/bukkit/SilkSpawners

Well, yes. But look at the last two comments about updating - I mean the users often are very impatient and don't know the term "thanks" - that's the reason why some answers might be a bit harsh. Since I get the same questions every update and multiple times. Even if you put it in big and red the people are ignoring stuff...

No. I rely on minecraft functions which changed a lot in the past - so I can't guarantee it will work on 1.6.3 and won't break the versioning system of bukkit.

Yes, Giants, Enderdragons, and Ghasts. I had to check on Ghasts, because while I've used them for Enderdragons and Giants, I've never used the plugins for Ghasts... but yes, it handles all 3 just fine. Unfortunately tho, the plugin is a bit out-dated, which is why I've been looking for something newer and with a more active Dev, but CreatureBox was always one I used, because at the time, there were only three (CreatureBox, MonsterBox, and Spawner), and CB just worked the best. Not sure if it will ever be updated for horses and such, but if you ever get SilkSpawners working with Giants, I'll gladly switch! ;)

The title of the file says it, the change log even in red. If you still ignore this and put a 1.6.1 version on a 1.6.2 it's clear it won't work.
No official craftbukkit update = no plugin update.
Try your luck and disable "checkMCVersion" in the config

Guess you have them from e.g. Essentials?
That's why they don't have an ID then and I prevent a "0" mob with setting the spawner to the default (you can even change this mob in the config)

Posted Jul 6, 2013I'm using version 3.3.1 with MC 1.6.1 and Bukkit #2807. If I put a horse spawner in the ground in a plains biome, it causes InvocationTargetException to be spammed continuously in the launcher development log and the launcher process to go to 100% CPU usage.
I also saw the problem with the flames remaining.

Posted Jul 5, 2013I'm having a glitch where when you destroy the spawner, the fire from inside of the spawners still remains in the air, where the spawner was. I'm not sure if this happens when you destroy a natural occuring spawner, as i've only tested it from destroying a spawner that is placed. Some of my players said they dissapeared after a while, while I, and others still see the fire. Not sure how this is happening.
Also, it does appear that if you relog, the fires dissapear. It's not a gamebreaking glitch, but it's still something different than normal. Does it have something to do with the minecraft update maybe?
