Description
Ever wanted to move a mob spawner? With SilkSpawners, you can now pick up and move monster spawners.
If you use a pickaxe with the silktouch enchantment you will receive the spawner again.
You can control each mob spawner, allow crafting and of course mod support.
I'm happy to hear about your opinion, just leave a comment with a feature request, bug, improvement or just a personal opinion.

Commands
Only the bukkit permissions are supported!
I highly recommend that you use a plugin for permissions like bPermissions
If no permission system is found, all commands are for OPs only!
If you suffix a mob name with egg you will receive an egg instead.

/ss help - Displays the help menu.
/ss list|all - Displays all available creatures.
/ss view - Displays information about the viewed spawner.
/ss reload|rl - Reloads the configuration files.
/ss change|set <newMob> - Changes the spawner you are currently holding or viewing at.
/ss give|add <player> <mob> [amount] - Gives a spawner or egg to the player. Amount is optional.
/ss selfget|i <mob> [amount] - Gives a spawner or egg to you. Amount is optional.

Known Bugs
- If sign shops are not working, you may want to try my custom sign shop addon: https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/12028/
- Mobs like Ghasts or Giants are too big for the spawner, this a Minecraft bug and I can't fix that
- Some older Essentials versions/ports are not updated properly for 1.8. There is a maintained fork called EssentialsX you should try.
- If you use Gui Sign Shop and users are unable to place spawners, you need to grant them the guishop.spawner permission from Gui Sign Shop
- Holographic Displays makes Slime spawners non functional
- UltraCosmetics, causes some spawners to non function: https://github.com/iSach/UltraCosmetics/issues/259

Disabling bStats
The file ./plugins/bStats/config.yml contains an option to opt-out.
The following data is read and sent to https://bstats.org and can be seen under https://bstats.org/plugin/bukkit/SilkSpawners

There are currently no per world permissions.
Best solution: Use a multi-world permissions plugin and negate the permission in the desired world!

Make sure it's true in the mobs.yml and you have the permission
Hint: Won't spawn (due to Minecraft) anyways ;)

Yes, I know, MCPC+ is the best way to have both Bukkit and Mobs (and more updated than BukkitForge)
I'll take a look at these mods, too.
Most of the time the mobs are not registered so I can identfiy/find them.
Going to contact MCPC+ team anyways, maybe there is another way they know :)
At least SilkSpawners 3.3 will allow "overclocking" the eggs, so you can use IDs on the eggs which are not recognized but you know they work from the mods ;)

The mod doesn't seem to work with the "Twilight Forest" mobs, either. The Twilight Forest mobs do not show up on the list of spawnable mobs.

I saw the post you put up on the Grimoire of Gaia thread.
Just to give you a little bit more info (though I may have mentioned it in passing), I'm using MCPC+, which allows me to use your plugin because of the bukkit functionality, but allows me to use those third party mods because of Forge/FML functionality.
Latest version of MCPC+ that my server is using is mcpc-plus-151compat-1.5.2-R0.2-forge716-c511.
Not sure if that's helpful, just trying to provide as much info as possible. :)
EDIT: Just installed some more mob mods (Father Toast's mob mods: "Lava Monsters" and "Special Mobs". These do not show up on the silkspawners list either... but I'm thinking it's a problem on his mod's end, because I don't even see eggs for them in Creative Mode. I think his "Special Mobs" are doing something similar to what the bukkit plugin "More Mobs" does: takes vanilla entities, and changes some of their attributes, as well as their texture.

I tried it even another time to get a list of the mobs from MCPC+.
However no luck, they are only added to Bukkit when they spawn, so the mod authors would need to add a config toggle ;)
Nevertheless I tweaked at least the eggs command a bit, you can turn it in the config on that the input won't be checked when it's a number, allowing to have eggs with eg. ID 500. That means you can spawn these mobs from the mods, too. But currently no spawners, because they are way more sensitive than eggs are ;)

I'm sorry, there is no way to define this.
A Witherskeleton is still a normal skeleton, therefore I would need to adjust the spawning algorithm which I don't want to edit with this plugin...

Rewards for killing Mobs. :)
I've been searching a lot towards a plugin which can handle custom Mods, but this seems perfect with the lack of the suggested feature.
MoneyDrop works well for standard Mobs, but i'm using a mcpc+ modded server with custom mobs so nothing happens in MoneyDrop.
Seeing that feature in Silkspawners would be awesome :)

I am currently populating my adventure map with mobs using properly-place spawners, courtesy of your Plugin. Sure it doesn't have all mobs yet, but I can work with what I've got. :D

I went deeper into FML modding and examined the issues - I'm unable to fix this, however notified the author of Myths and Mods and Grimoire of Gaia about the missing compatibility, it's now in their hand to fix it :)
Please tell me, if you encounter more mods which are not working!

To enable selling again, change the name of the mob spawner in the localization.yml back to "MonsterSpawner"

Posted Jun 4, 2013How do I sell spawners in chest shops (iConomyChestShop)? I tried using this plugin to see if I was able to do it, but when I did it and tested to see if it worked, the sign said it didn't recognize the id (52:2).
