Description
Ever wanted to move a mob spawner? With SilkSpawners, you can now pick up and move monster spawners.
If you use a pickaxe with the silktouch enchantment you will receive the spawner again.
You can control each mob spawner, allow crafting and of course mod support.

Commands
Only the bukkit permissions are supported!
I highly recommend that you use a plugin for permissions like bPermissions
If no permission system is found, all commands are for OPs only!
If you suffix a mob name with egg you will receive an egg instead.

/ss help - Displays the help menu.
/ss list|all - Displays all available creatures.
/ss view - Displays information about the viewed spawner.
/ss reload|rl - Reloads the configuration files.
/ss change|set <newMob> - Changes the spawner you are currently holding or viewing at.
/ss give|add <player> <mob> [amount] - Gives a spawner or egg to the player. Amount is optional.
/ss selfget|i <mob> [amount] - Gives a spawner or egg to you. Amount is optional.

Known Bugs
- If sign shops are not working, you may want to try my custom sign shop addon: https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/12028/
- Mobs like Ghasts or Giants are too big for the spawner, this a Minecraft bug and I can't fix that
- Some older Essentials versions/ports are not updated properly for 1.8. There is a maintained fork called EssentialsX you should try.
- If you use Gui Sign Shop and users are unable to place spawners, you need to grant them the guishop.spawner permission from Gui Sign Shop
- Holographic Displays makes Slime spawners non functional
- UltraCosmetics, causes some spawners to non function: https://github.com/iSach/UltraCosmetics/issues/259

Disabling bStats
The file ./plugins/bStats/config.yml contains an option to opt-out.
The following data is read and sent to https://bstats.org and can be seen under https://bstats.org/plugin/bukkit/SilkSpawners

I've got no idea how to fix this as I haven't disabled any spawners... plz halp xD

Posted May 15, 2015I was wondering, I saw you have the command /give @p 52 1 0 {BlockEntityTag:{EntityId:Spider}} to give a player a spawner. That works perfectly, but I'm wondering if we can specify the name also? like, normally you can do /give @p 52 1 name:&6Name ... but when i do /give @p 52 1 0 {BlockEntityTag:{EntityId:Spider}} name:&6Name it doesn't work. Any ideas?

Posted May 13, 2015I still have not been able to get spawners to work. I have tried everything. Changing the entitiy name in the kit and then selling the kits (didnt work). I tried Using the chest shop method (didnt work)! I am out of ideas and really need help. I will pay anyone to help me fix this issue! If you know how please pm me on skype : walman.mecca

Earlier you told me: "If you run a new 1.8 server (world), then you can switch useLegacyName to false. Leave the rest true."
This isn't a new 1.8 world, so wouldn't leaving it true be the thing to do?

Okay, i'm having a major issue with this. I want players to be able to buy spawners from either ChestShop or the Essentials shop but neither of them work and they just give a pig spawner.
When I manually give myself a spawner using /ss ocelot (for example). it gives it to me i place it, then i break it using silk touch pickaxe, then i place it back down and it turns into a pig spawner. The message i get is "Placing default spawner (either this spawner is invalid or disabled - in yellow color.
I've tried to find a solution for this over a week and nothing so if anyone can read this and help out me and others who are having this issue it would be very amazing and would make me super happy! (you'll make others super happy too!)
I also noticed when i place the spawner it's fine then when i break it, it becomes a pig spawner.
Ex., Ocelot spawner placed -> Pig spawner broken (the same ocelot spawner becomes a pig spawner :S
P.S i've seen a server using both Essentials and this plugin and they're selling spawners with no problems using the essentials shop, so i see there is a possibility.

Why do you have useLegacyName enabled? This causes the problem, since it's not reliable and meant for a workaround only.

Posted Apr 26, 2015Have been getting reports of zombie pigman spawners turning to zombie spawners. This server was recently 1.7, and just updated to 1.8.3.

We have found a few spawners named "Zombie Pigman Spawner" but with 1 nbt tag. These certain ones are guaranteed to turn to Zombie spawners when placed. The proper spawners are the Zombie Pigman Spawners with 3 nbt tags, these will turn to the expected spawner.
I am not sure how the spawners with only 1 nbt tag came to existence, maybe if they are from 1.7?

(the one that lets you change the egg type) My players are buying eggs from our shop and using "/eggs irongolem" to change them into mobs we don't want for sale! I want to disable this for all players accept for those who are op.

I can't do much about the incompatibility with Essentials, since it's a bug/ lack of 1.8 update on their end. SilkSpawners is the wrong place for eco/buy things, that's why I created SilkSpawnersEcoAddon, if sign support would be added then in this plugin.
There are workarounds linked, other than that there are no fixes.

Posted Apr 19, 2015So I'm in a tough position and I don't know if there's some advice or anything anyone can give. Last time I checked, silkspawners doesn't support sign shops with essentials. So, this being said, I was using the plugin BuySpawners. What I learned was, whenever you get a spawner with your inventory full, it just disappears and doesn't drop. So I'm wondering, i there a good solution to this with silkspawners? Some way to use shop signs, and to make sure that the spawner drops if you have a full inventory. Sorry if that is confusing, I just really don't want to give up on SilkSpawners, and I feel like there is a better way to do this.
