SignShop v5

Table of Contents

SignShop allows you to set up physical shops by punching a chest with your items you want to sell, then punching a sign (while holding redstone dust). It's easy to set up, and even easier to customize!

This plugin requires Vault and a vault compatible economy plugin.

For Minecraft 1.8 - 1.12 use this version.

For Minecraft 1.13 - 1.19 use this version.

Basic Signs:

[Buy] Allows players to buy items from a chest.

[Sell] Allows players to sell items to a shop.

[Trade] Allows players to trade one set of items for another.

[iBuy] Admin shop that allows players to buy infinite items.

[iSell] Admin shop that allows players to sell infinite items.

[iTrade] Admin shop that allows players to trade one set of items for another an infinite number of times.

Extending SignShop with other Plugins

Plugin	Description
Vault	Works with all standard economies (EssentialsEco, iConomy, BOSEconomy, Gringotts, and more) and permission plugins (LuckPerms, Permissions 3, bPermissions, PEX, GroupManager, PermissionsBukkit, zPermission (and defaults to OP permissions, if you don't want to use a permission system)).
Grief Prevention Residence LWC Extended BlockLocker	For sign and chest protection, though SignShop has built in sign protection.
Essentials CMI	Use the worth.yml for dynamic sign prices by putting [worth] on the bottom line of the sign (must be enabled in SignShop config)
SignShopGuardian	Save your inventory when you die.
SignShopHotel	Allow players to rent rooms for a period of time.
dynmap	Show shop locations.
Multiverse	Supports Multiverse worlds.
WildcardCommands	Make SignShop run commands for all players online.
Towny	Use Towny banks and only let players make shops in Towny shop plots. (Thanks ryvix!)
WorldGuard	Respects build permissions, and you can only let players make shops in regions with the allow-shop flag.
ChestShop	Convert from ChestShop format to SignShop format by just punching the sign with redstone.

Example SignShop

This is an example of how to set up a [Buy] sign with SignShop. The sign above is linked to a chest containing items. In this example, it will sell an enchanted pickaxe for 600 Waffles (Waffles are our server's currency :-) ).

Hi there, im struggling with the prospect of making signs where i buy items i dont have. As i cant put one in the chest originally. how od i get around this?

As far as we know, there is no GUI version of SignShop. if someone wanted to make one, we'd be happy to share it though.

is there a GUI version of this, I like how clean it is and easy to use, but I also quite like GUI's and it would be great if when you clicked the sign it opened a GUI that had Buy 1 Buy 32 Buy 64 or Sell 1 Sell 64 Sell all?

Not directly, as they are considered different types of items. What you could try is making a sign with [worth] on the 4th line, and setting the price for heads in Essentials' worth.yml to all be the same amount, and remove everything else. I think that will work for your purposes. Don't forget to set the option in our config to true to enable price from worth.

It is probably running out of a certain type of item, which won't allow the slot machine to work.

I do read the FAQ and searched a lot in Google. However the slot sign just not *random* out of stock, it is *keeping* out of stock right after the first purchase. It can be purchased again using ink sak to update but still could be purchased only once.
