SignShop v5

SignShop allows you to set up physical shops by punching a chest with your items you want to sell, then punching a sign (while holding redstone dust). It's easy to set up, and even easier to customize!
This plugin requires Vault and a vault compatible economy plugin.

This is an example of how to set up a [Buy] sign with SignShop. The sign above is linked to a chest containing items. In this example, it will sell an enchanted pickaxe for 600 Waffles (Waffles are our server's currency :-) ).

Theoretically it would have converted them, but sometimes things don't work how we want, especially with NBT data. There is no command or anything, it should just autoconvert when SignShop recognizes a book in a different format.
EDIT: If it ISN'T autoconverting, then I'm afraid we don't currently have a solution.

Oh, good news though! It seems that written books can now be sold again! So that's awesome! Just need to figure out the NBT tag thing and we should be good. =P

Ok, so I did the update and restarted server. It still doesn't recognize all the books as being the same. Does it only count for book that are created after updating signshop? Or is there a command to retroactively convert all versions of the book to the same or something?

Oh cool, is that all it was? Sorry, I thought Beastnode automatically updated, but all I had to do was click update. Looks like I had a couple out of date plug-ins, and Spigot has a new version as well. Thanks again for the help, as soon as I am done backing up my files I will restart server and try it out. Will this also fix the written book thing?

From my understanding, there was some sort of change in the book API with a recent release of Minecraft / Spigot. Different ways of creating books will lead to different NBT tags. Unfortunately, this means SignShop doesn't think they are the same type of item. With 2.10.0, we made it so SignShop will manually convert the types of books to a centralized type. Are you using 2.10.0?

So, I'm setting up a magic shop and want to sell enchanted books. I've run into a problem where seemingly identical books do not register as being the same. Example:
I have 4 books that all are Sharpness II. If I put one into the chest, and link it to a sign, it will sell copies of that book. But, when I fill the chest up with the 4 copies I currently have, only 2 will sell, and then it will say out of stock.
I did some investigating, and when I hit f3+h to show additional item info, here is what I found: While all 4 books are Sharpness II books, 2 say "NBT: 1 tag(s)" and 2 say "NBT: 2 tag(s)" Well, I imagine you can guess which ones sell based on which ones were originally linked to the chest.
Now, to stock up on my books, I have been using a combination of buying books from a village I made, making books on an enchanting table, and combining lower level books together on an anvil. Do these extra 'tags' come into play from some methods and not others? Is there a way to make identical books all be recognized as the same, even with these additional tags?
Also, 1 other thing. When we first started using your plug-in a few months ago, players could sell written books. I have one player who writes guides and what not, and would then copy them and sell the copies. Another player would have different episodes of a serial novella they were selling. One day it stopped working, and if you click on a chest with redstone that contains a written book, there is no message. But, clicking again, it will say location removed. You don't appear to be able to link it to signs at all any longer.

There is a permission node called DenyUse. So in your case, you can give all the permission groups you DON'T want to use the Kit sign SignShop.DenyUse.Kit and they won't be able to use it. You can check out our full list of permissions on our permissions page.

There are a couple of ways to do this. You can do it by just adding runTimedCommand{#}, where "#" is the amount of time the unit is rented, and in the timed command section you put the untrust command (whatever that is). The disadvantage is that the time you put in won't necessarily match up with the time of the rent. So to fix that you must use the other option. The OTHER and better option is to use OnExpiration{runTimedCommand{0}}. This will run the commands in the timed commands section 0 seconds after the hotel expires.

Posted Jun 15, 2015I'm currently running SignShop and SignShopHotel on my server along with GriefPrevention. I was wondering if there was a way to write a custom command for a SignShopHotel that will provide access to the door as well as grant trust on that claim for the duration of the Hotel rental.
So far I have a custom sign set up as follows
Rent: HotelSign,takePlayerMoney,playerIsOp,runCommand
Rent: - trust !player
I just don't know what to put to give the player trust for the duration listed on the "Rent" sign.

How does what work? Most people use some other plugin to put colors on their signs. We change the colors of the top line based on if a shop is out of stock or whatever.
