SignShop v5

SignShop allows you to set up physical shops by punching a chest with your items you want to sell, then punching a sign (while holding redstone dust). It's easy to set up, and even easier to customize!
This plugin requires Vault and a vault compatible economy plugin.

Example SignShop

This is an example of how to set up a [Buy] sign with SignShop. The sign above is linked to a chest containing items. In this example, it will sell an enchanted pickaxe for 600 Waffles (Waffles are our server's currency :-) ).

I can't help you choose an economy plugin unless I know what you want it to do. If you just want something that will work with Vault and SignShop, then BOSEconomy is a decent choice and easy to use.

SignShop does not provide a currency, you need an economy plugin for that.

That's correct. Of course any shops that were changed since that save will be removed, and anything new would not be there.

Nope, but we have permission node called "Signshop.CopyPaste.Others", which will allow others to do that. Make sure to check out our permissions page for all of that sort of stuff.

The sellers.yml is the file that contains all of the shops. SignShop automatically backs this up for you. It's called sellers.bak. All you would have to do is rename it. THAT SAID, it's always a good idea to backup your files manually, because sometimes software or hardware can fail. I'd suggest keeping local copies of sellers.yml and sellers.bak.

That's the idea. We are working on a few other things at the moment, but as long as they make it easy for us to hook into them, it shouldn't be a problem.

Is there a way to save/backup all my current sign shops? I remember back on an old server we had an error which wiped my player database, economy, and all my shops were unregistered besides the signs. I had to spend about a couple hours re-placing chests and adding items. Anyway, today my partner and I finished about 8 shops and I'd literally rip my hair out if it was to be re-done another day, haha. Is there a specific file i could download that contains all the signshops? And if I were to re-upload it, would it register all the signs like before?
