Sideways Log Fix

Table of Contents

This plugin adds one command, /swl, that lets you toggle vertical/normal placement of logs. 1.3 added the ability to place logs sideways, but it is very difficult to place logs vertically now since you need to be almost completely above the log when placing it. Now just type /swl and all of your logs will be placed vertically. Type it again to revert to standard log placement.

Rather simple fix, just changed
if (block.getType() == Material.LOG && getUserConfig().getBoolean(event.getPlayer().getUniqueId().toString()) == true)

to
if ((block.getType() == Material.LOG || block.getType() == Material.LOG_2) && getUserConfig().getBoolean(event.getPlayer().getUniqueId().toString()) == true)

works like a charm with the new blocks. Special thanks to @gravypod for fixing and compiling it for me :)

Hey, i did really like your plugin, but cant you make me a special version that 100% disables sideways logs for everyone on the server and that dont have any config or permissions or commands, just when its loaded it just disable it fully and works with 1.3.2? Im sure it wont take some much time for a good coder to make a small plugin.

I used this idea to code a private plugin for my server. It's not that your version doesn't work, I just frankly don't agree with the use of file storage instead of java collections, aside from other coding technique stuff, the plugin looks good.

Ok, the fix to the error is to change line 81 from EventHandler to Override or removing it completely.

Get this error... I noticed it a while ago when I had to remove the plugin, but got so sick of these retarded logs again I put it back and thought I'd post the error this time.

I saw that. Maybe won't be as hard to use then.

Github works great, especially if you learn how to use git and commit every change individually to it. But you could also package the java files in the jar if you wanted.

Well in the 12w38a snapshot, logs are now placed according to the surface normal that you're looking at when you place them. Look at a wall and the log will be placed sideways against the wall, look at the ground and the log will be placed normally. If they decide to keep it this way then we'll only need this plugin for a little while longer :P
