Hello, I just installed the pluggin. Need help. As the server owner, how do I create shops that endlessly sell an item without refilling? I made them as admin chest, and now others cant buy from my chests. I want all to be able to buy without refilling them. what do I do? Alex

how do you buy and sell in the same shop

I can't seem to make potion shops with the shops plugin. The message buyers get is "This shop is out of stock." But there are definitely bottles of potions in the box.

I'm really enjoying the simplicity of this plugin. Thank you so much for developing it. I've had a few thoughts since starting to use the plugin that I thought could help in future development.

Feature Suggestions:

• It would be cool to be able to hit an existing sign to switch items without changing the price/quantity.
• I second @Torsedo's suggestion for multiple currency, perhaps set in the third or fourth line of the sign (space b would then be needed to set buying)?
• I would LOVE it if there could be a setting to have a message post to chat when someone creates a new shop, perhaps with coordinates so players know where to find it, owner name so people know who the new shop belongs to, how many of what the item, and how much.
• Could permissions be added to restrict what items a group is allowed to sell? (That way I could have those in my Miners group only allowed to sell things they've mined but not be allowed to sell food items for example.)

Bugs:

• Zombies can steal the display item from on top of the chest if they get close enough.
• Sometimes the item seems to disappear for no reason and you can't just hit the sign again to make it reappear, you have to recreate the sign completely (implementing the first feature suggestion above could help with this).

@beatmk I've recently installed the mod with useVault true and it is working. You need to make sure you also have an economy mod. I'm currently using BOSEconomy but I've also tested it with MinEconomy and both have worked.

I have been looking for a plugin like this for about 2 hours. This one looks great and I'm really interested. The only problem/suggestion I have is it would be great if you could somehow add in multiple currencies. This way, a player could be selling dirt for iron at the same time he is selling iron for diamonds.

Please add this :) This is exactly what I need!

after building a shop, a zombie will walk past and steal the floating item.

is there a fix im overlooking. or is there a different plugin in i need to prevent this,

sorry if this is an echo, but i couldnt read every post. my eyes hurt....

other then that we are loving the plugin, untill we have no idea what we are buying :P

useVault: true is NOT working so the plugin is useless at this time! when you set vault using true then you cant create any shop! ive testet it on 2 servers with newest version of vault!

Please FIX its very impossible!

Opps, a zombie stole the item from the top of my box and I can't seem to put another one there. Any way you can fix it so zombies can't do that?

Do you place the sign in front of the chest, or? Is it throwing any errors? Any other information you can provide?

No problem! There are plenty of cheap VPS and dedicated servers out there. Honestly I can even offer you some space on my server for quite cheap. Feel free to hit me up in a PM!

The plugin seems to have pooped out on me - after adjusting the name of the currency in the config, I can no longer make shops. The signs simply don't "stick."

I have tried: taking the plugin (jar and folder) out, run the server, put it back in, and running the server again, as well as deleting the config, and letting a new one create.

edit: sometimes, for some reason, a shop works. I can't really replicate it, only like 1 in 50 does it

Thanks for the quick replies. And yeah I know I shouldn't and hell, it may not work, but if all else fails I do have another decent machine in the garage. All it needs is a ram upgrade and to set it up. That might be better anyways haha...hmm...

I would never, ever recommend running a MCPC+ server just on your computer, while using it at the same time. Even my test server is on a separate virtual machine, albeit a powerful one.

Ok, I'm not getting the error anymore and can finally use my computer while the server is running. It was killing it before.

However, while in the end buying and selling work, both lag. When I buy or sell I have to try and pick up the item before it updates or click the next empty space in my inventory where it should be before it appears. That though is minor in my opinion and I'm sure it'll be worked out.
