Shop is by far the easiest to use shop plugin to date and is also the most fun. People on your server will not be able to get enough!
This plugin uses an auto-update system which will detect if your plugin is out of date and automatically download the latest version of the plugin. Learn how to disable this service.
This plugin uses plugin metrics, which collects information and sends it to mcstats.org. You can disable this via /plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml if you do not wish to participate in the data collection. Learn more about it here.
I have put many hours of work into this plugin and it is my hope than anyone who enjoys the features it brings to their server will donate.

You are correct about Vault and what it does. I do not use it with Shop, as I just use emeralds for everything, and prefer that. I am establishing that just because I am now worried the issue is whatever version of iConomy you are using, or why that version of Shop isn't playing nice with your MCPC+, when it is just fine on my end. :\

Posted Jul 10, 2013I have not tried that... I thought of it, but was hoping to avoid remaking everything lol. I will try that in a bit and get back to ya'll.
On a side note though, I'm new to hosting a server (I've been teaching myself everything over the last week or so.) and you said you use vault but no economy plugin. How does that work? can people still use money, buy things, etc.?
I was under the assumption vault was like a core thing and the other plugins used it in order to work and put in place an economy.
Thanks.

Have you tried deleting the shops and recreating them? Also have you tried taking the server down, deleting Shop and its config folder, reuploading, and starting it up again? I know that can be a hassle, but I tested that precise setup on my beta server and did not experience such an error. We'll figure it out though! I've currently got Vault on my server but no economy plugin, and everything is fine. I'd hate to say iConomy is the issue, but let's see what we can find out.

Posted Jul 10, 2013I'm having two issues just recently, it has been working fine until today when I changed maps and built a new spawn. I want to try and be thorough so apologies if it's lengthy.
1) admin selling shops will not give items but does take the money. I am using Vault with iConomy and like I said it had been working fine (tho it did lag a bit to show up/take away from inventory)
2) This is the biggest one because it appears to be eating up my bandwith. My server console keeps repeating the same error over and over and over... you get the idea.
Here's a link to my droppox public folder with a text file containing the error. (I don't know how to hide it with a 'spolier button' or whatever so I figured it would be better than posting a huge error file. Your text to link here...
Just some info. Running a technic modpack server (basically Hexxit with a few more mods) 1.5.2. -Shop v1.3 -Using MCPC+ to run several bukkit plugins (all my other plugins have worked fine so far but this might be the issue)
It's brand brand new. I'm still waiting for approval on the technic site to post about people joining so so far it has just been me.
I really want to keep this plugin, I like it a lot. You did a great job and I hope I can figure out what this is.

Your best bet would be to delete your data folder that is located within the Shop folder that is generated. You will have to recreate all the shops but that will guarantee that all shops from previous versions have been removed.

Do you know of a way to find the shop from pre 1.3.5 so I can get rid of it?

Well I can say that that error you posted is definitely because the shop you tried to pick an item up from was created before version 1.3.5. Because it is a null pointer. Unless something went wrong somewhere but I have not seen this yet.
I will fix the admin shop bug for the next update.

Nope, all these shops were created after updating Shop to v1.3.5
Since nobody else has had the same thing happening with the items, I'm going to assume it's because I'm running 1.5.2, so I guess I'll have to update to fix that.

Sorry, yes I'm using Shops 1.3.5 with Minecraft 1.6.1.
What I'm trying to say is pretty much what Azur_ stated: Buying from an Admin shop takes your currency, but gives nothing. Selling to an Admin shop simply gives you the items instead of currency.
I'll be happy to provide any logs you need.

Besides using 1.5.2, are the Shops you are having problems with from an earlier version of Shop as well? I stated in the changelog that you must recreate any shops you had from previous versions for the shops to work properly.
The admin shop thing may be a bug because that wouldnt change over versions. I will look into that. Thanks for reporting this.

Posted Jul 9, 2013I am using version 1.3.5, and have found 2 bugs.
Firstly, I encountered what KeroGen is talking about, where if you have an admin shop buying items it doesn't properly buy it, but instead dupes the item you are selling to the shop.
Secondly, every time my server restarted the floating items on top of the chests were able to be picked up by everyone.
There was also this error spamming the console, which was connected to the floating items:
Any help you can provide would be much appreciated.
E: I just realized, my server is still running 1.5.2, and Shop 1.3.5 is for bukkit 1.6.1, which could possibly be the cause of the issue.

I am trying to understand your problem but that whole thing was a little hard to follow...
So you try to buy from your own shop?
It should not let you do anything if it is your own shop. Unless it is an admin shop in which case it is technically not yours still.
Are you using version 1.3.5?

Posted Jul 9, 2013Great! Thank you so much!
One problem I'm experiencing is: When I try and use a "buying" shop to sell things for currency, the shop still functions as a selling shop and is giving me the item instead of the currency. Note, I don't have any currency in my inventory. Same result for admin shops and user shops. Also, selling shops don't give me the item? I give it the appropriate amount of currency and it just gobbles it up without giving me my items.
I have the currency set to the default of Emeralds. Am I doing something wrong or it it a bug? Or can you just not buy/sell from your own shops? I'm using the latest 1.6.1 craftbukkit build.

I've just installed this version, and havent run into any problems yet. This is my server's first shop plugin, and I'm using it to help distribute the new horse related items.

I tried out the latest release, and it seemed like it worked!
Then when I went away, a user told me someone ran by and the item flew towards them. I got on and now it is stuck into a chest. No one could pick it up, though.
So, that's progress, at least! :D Sorry to say it still isn't at 100% though. I am not sure why, sadly.
