Shop
Shop allows users to quickly create shops to buy and sell items with little effort and no commands to type!
By simply placing a sign in front of a chest, players can create their own shops to buy or sell items!
IMPORTANT:
SHOP IS NO LONGER BEING UPDATED ON BUKKIT.
(You need to create an account on Spigot to view the link)
Features:

- Shops visually display the item they are selling.

Have a question? Please read these first.
Optional Commands:
/shop list - displays how many shops exist on the server.
/shop refresh - refreshes the display items on all of the shops. (Requires operator permission)
Conflicting Plugins:
PersonalPickup

Shop Permissions (optional)
shop.use - allows player to use shops
shop.create - allows player to create shops
shop.destroy - allows player to destroy shops
shop.operator - allows player to bypass shop restrictions and regulations
Shop is by far the easiest to use shop plugin to date and is also the most fun. People on your server will not be able to get enough!
This plugin uses an auto-update system which will detect if your plugin is out of date and automatically download the latest version of the plugin. Learn how to disable this service.
This plugin uses plugin metrics, which collects information and sends it to mcstats.org. You can disable this via /plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml if you do not wish to participate in the data collection. Learn more about it here.

Posted Jun 18, 2013I must add that when you buy something, the item is invisible in your inventory at first, and after you open a chest, it appears in your inventory. If there is no other item of the same kind at the time you purchase, the item is invisible and you'll have to guess where it is located in your inventory by clicking all the empty spaces for it to appear.

Posted Jun 18, 2013Hey Tooner, I realy love this plugin. Its easy to use and that makes it my favourite shop plugin because you can set it up using ingame items. The floating items are realy a unique thing this plugin had and i've been waiting for you to fix the floating item pick-up bug. To bad it disappears for ever now, and i'm quessing the pick-up bug is probably realy hard to fix. However, i'm glad you atleast fixed the pick-up bug. Now i'll just use item frames above the chest to still make this plugin fucntional. Many thanks :)

Posted Jun 17, 2013So, this shop plugin seems somewhat broken.
After a restart (and sometimes after 5-10 minutes), the items that should be on top of the chests vanish forever. This negates the value of the floating items. Any chance of a fix for this?

New version doesn't spawn items at all anymore ! It does for like 5 minutes then when they get reset nothing !
I installed the new SHOP jar. All the items that were floating above dissapeared !
Then... When I recreated the signs they came back but they get reset every 5 or 10 minutes (dunno if your plugin does that or what) and so they never reappear.
Im guessing that in the new SHOP.JAR when the items respawn the previous ones dissapear. Correct?
Instead you should make it so this only happens on server restart ! That's when people can pick things up.
I only got the "pick-up" problem on restarts because the plugin created a new set of items but at the same time my server remembered the items that were on the ground previously.

Major issue: If I have it set up to sell 1 cobble, it doesn't work. It just gives the player 1 cobble, and doesn't do anything else. It message 'sold 1 cobble for 1 emerald', but all that happens is you gain 1 cobble.

I'm thinking that you made it so when the items respawn the previous ones dissapear but instead you should make it so when the server restarts the previous items dissapear.

To recreate it, set up a shop that buys or sells, and just wait it out. Eventually they vanish. Game might be thinking of them as normal drops that vanish after several minutes in a loaded chunk.
Also, something else you should test out... Set up a shop that buys an item, and hit it with an item that has lower durability, like a used sword. I just found out that when someone sells a sword to the shop with the exact same durability (only way it works to begin with) it sells the item, but doesn't remove it from their inventory, essentially duping it.
If at all possible, with the latter bug, maybe you could incorporate some method of identifying the durability tag so that items underneath a certain durability could be sold to a shop. An example being a blacksmith that buys nearly broken gear, repairs them, and then resells them. Since most of the lines are already used up, I'd suggest the quantity-per-transaction line with something along the lines of "1<10" for one item with less than 10 durability or "1>10" for one item with greater than 10 durability. If the shop can properly recognize durability tags, then it might solve the bug and provide an additional feature at the same time.

I just submitted version 1.3 which should fix the display item problem. I have done extensive testing on this one and did not see any errors with the display item for 1.3. Thank you, and everyone who has been waiting for this fix, for being patient.
