Shopkeepers

Set up custom villager shopkeepers that sell exactly what you want them to sell and for what price. You can set up admin shops, which have infinite supply, and you can also set up player shops, which pull supply from a chest.
It will also prevent any other trades with non-shopkeeper villagers, if you want it to.
For those who are simply looking for a convenient way to modify the trades of vanilla villagers (as an alternative to using complex Minecraft commands), the plugin also includes a graphical editor for regular villagers and wandering traders.
Basic Features
- Easily create villager shopkeepers that trade the items you want them to trade.
- Admins shops with infinite supplies.
- Player shops which pull supplies from a chest.
- Different types of player shops: selling, buying, trading, and selling books.
- Various supported mob types to represent your shopkeeper, sign shops, and Citizens (NPC) shops.
- Editor for regular villagers and wandering traders.
- Many configuration options.
- Translatable messages.
- Open source (Source code on GitHub)
Supported server versions
Shopkeepers supports the latest versions of Bukkit / Spigot.
Note that this plugin is created to work with CraftBukkit (or alternatively Spigot). Bukkit does not have an API for some of the things necessary to make this plugin work. This means that other server software (Tekkit, Forge, Cauldron, etc.) will not work with this plugin.
Other CraftBukkit or Spigot derivatives/forks might work, but are not officially supported. So if you run into issues while using those, try to reproduce your issue on a fresh and up-to-date Spigot server first.

Statistics
This plugin uses bStats to collect anonymous plugin usage statistics. This helps me to determine how many servers are using the plugin, which Minecraft versions it is used with the most, and to which degree the different features are used.
Here is a list of all currently tracked information:
- Common information: The number of servers using the plugin, the number of players on these servers, online mode, Minecraft version, plugin version, core count, system arch, operating system, server country, Java version.
- Shopkeepers specific information: Whether specific related plugins are used (Citizens, Towny, WorldGuard, Gringotts, other Vault economy plugins), number of shops, whether player shops are used, whether certain features are enabled in the config (ex. WorldGuard/Towny compatibility, Citizens shops, delayed saves, colored names, chest protection, removal of inactive shops, tax rate, strict item comparison, purchase logging, disabling of other villagers, ..), the number of worlds containing shops.
- All information can be publicly viewed here: https://bstats.org/plugin/bukkit/Shopkeepers/
If you want to disable bStats for all plugins on your server, edit the file plugins/bStats/config.yml, or alternatively disable it only for Shopkeepers by setting 'enable-metrics' to 'false' inside the Shopkeepers config.

Add-On Plugins
Sometimes, a feature is either to specific to include directly into the Shopkeepers plugin, or I did not yet have the time to add something similar myself. I think I know what you mean, though I am not sure if this is only some visual, client side glitch. Because there already is something built in which teleports the shopkeepers to their correct locations periodically. As this doesn't seem to be triggered, it means that the server thinks that the villagers are at their correct spots..
So all I can do is experimenting around with how I could update the clients view on those villagers.. I will look into this at some later point.
Which permissions plugin are you using? It seems that for some people the default value for the trade permission (shopkeeper.trade) doesn't work and that they have to manually add the permission to the players/groups before they can trade.

Posted Aug 6, 2014Hi, is it possible to remove the villager moving when i approche it, because this cause few bugs. Sometimes shopkeeper go inside a wall or simply jumping for fun... I use the latest version (1.23) and spigot 1.7.9 on my server
Normal players (NON-op) can't use shopkeeper, nothing happen when they clicked on it...Is it normal?

You get the bypass permission by default if you are op. Default permissions are useful for servers which don't use any permissions plugin. You will have to look into how to use your permission plugin, in order to remove it.

Posted Aug 6, 2014I don't get why I have the permission to bypass already by default. I don't know how to remove this, since I don't know where to add shopkeepers.bypass The groupmanager config file lists the permissions that the different groups have been given, I don't know why this bypass has been given to me, there's no reference to it here. I don't know how to remove it, adding shopkeepers.bypass: false doesn't do anything. If anyone knows how to remove this bypass feature with group manager please let me know. I just uninstalled the plugin

Thanks for your super fast answer! It didn't work because I had "shop-creation-item-name:" filled in. I tried it without and now it works.

Posted Aug 4, 2014v1.24 Alpha for MC 1.7.8+
This is an alpha version:
While this version seems to work quite well already, there might be some new bugs being introduced due to some internal changes.
Also there are some issues which still need to be resolved (hopefully no breaking issues though..) and some new features to test out.
Not much tested.
Also please see the changelog of these previously versions!

Make sure you are not in creative mode when testing: the shop creation via item is disabled while being in creative mode.
Also make sure you adjust the creation item data value in the config, depending on the item you want to use.
Besides of that I just tested this and was able to properly change the creation item.

Posted Aug 4, 2014First of all: It's an awesome plugin, really nice! My problem is if I try to change the item u need to create a shop in the config.yml it doesn't work ingame. It only works with Villager-Spawneggs for me. What could I be doing wrong?

Yeah, that seems to be not that smart.. I will upload a new (though untested) version which might fix this behavior.

Posted Aug 4, 2014@blablubbabc:
Ticket created. Too the other thing, imagine this scenario:
Player A creates or hires Shopkeeper, fills chest with items, sets prices, goes offline after a while.
Player B creates Shopkeeper at the Chest of Player A's Shopkeeper, sets prices very low.
Player C buys everything for low price till Stock is empty.
Player B removes Shopkeeper...
You see where i am getting at? That is a possible Scenario when multiple Shopkeepers are allowed to use the same Chest and it doesnt really make too much sense either because you cant set the items the shopkeeper displays, only the amount and price, so every Shopkeeper will show the same items from the chest.

1) I will test this out later. You could create a ticket jsut in case, so that I don't forgte doing so. 2) I think this is intended behavior.
@harymarney
Well, you have to checkout the GroupManager documentation for that..

Hi, thanks for the reply, I saw shopkeeper.bypass in the list above and thought that it must be set to true and that I should set it to false, but I could not find it in the config file, I was unsure whether I should add this here? I'm not exactly sure how permissions work. I am using groupmanager and essentials

Posted Aug 4, 2014Hi,
Ive just setup Shopkeepers and it works fine for Admin Shops, i have a few problems with Playershops tho:
1) /shopkeepers setforhire keeps telling me that i have to target a chest when i am actually targeting a chest and tells me that this chest is not a shopkeeper chest when i target any other block (but a chest), thus not working. (Yes i had the Hire Item in Hand, tried redstonechests and normal chests)
2) Multiple Shopkeepers can be assigned to the same chest. I'm not sure this is intended.
Please help

Well, very strange.. I just installed pex on my local test server, but even without explicitly configuring it to give me the shopkeeper.trade permission I already have it by default (without being op). Just like it should be. No idea why it works differently on your server..

Make sure you are running v1.23.
Turn on debug mode and check what is being printed to the console.
Somebody reported that they had to add the shopkeeper.trade permission via their permissions plugin before players were able to use shops (even though the permission should normally already be given by default..).
If this helped: which permissions plugin are you using?
