Shopkeepers

Set up custom villager shopkeepers that sell exactly what you want them to sell and for what price. You can set up admin shops, which have infinite supply, and you can also set up player shops, which pull supply from a chest.
It will also prevent any other trades with non-shopkeeper villagers, if you want it to.
For those who are simply looking for a convenient way to modify the trades of vanilla villagers (as an alternative to using complex Minecraft commands), the plugin also includes a graphical editor for regular villagers and wandering traders.
Basic Features
- Easily create villager shopkeepers that trade the items you want them to trade.
- Admins shops with infinite supplies.
- Player shops which pull supplies from a chest.
- Different types of player shops: selling, buying, trading, and selling books.
- Various supported mob types to represent your shopkeeper, sign shops, and Citizens (NPC) shops.
- Editor for regular villagers and wandering traders.
- Many configuration options.
- Translatable messages.
- Open source (Source code on GitHub)
Supported server versions
Shopkeepers supports the latest versions of Bukkit / Spigot.
Note that this plugin is created to work with CraftBukkit (or alternatively Spigot). Bukkit does not have an API for some of the things necessary to make this plugin work. This means that other server software (Tekkit, Forge, Cauldron, etc.) will not work with this plugin.
Other CraftBukkit or Spigot derivatives/forks might work, but are not officially supported. So if you run into issues while using those, try to reproduce your issue on a fresh and up-to-date Spigot server first.

Statistics
This plugin uses bStats to collect anonymous plugin usage statistics. This helps me to determine how many servers are using the plugin, which Minecraft versions it is used with the most, and to which degree the different features are used.
Here is a list of all currently tracked information:
- Common information: The number of servers using the plugin, the number of players on these servers, online mode, Minecraft version, plugin version, core count, system arch, operating system, server country, Java version.
- Shopkeepers specific information: Whether specific related plugins are used (Citizens, Towny, WorldGuard, Gringotts, other Vault economy plugins), number of shops, whether player shops are used, whether certain features are enabled in the config (ex. WorldGuard/Towny compatibility, Citizens shops, delayed saves, colored names, chest protection, removal of inactive shops, tax rate, strict item comparison, purchase logging, disabling of other villagers, ..), the number of worlds containing shops.
- All information can be publicly viewed here: https://bstats.org/plugin/bukkit/Shopkeepers/
If you want to disable bStats for all plugins on your server, edit the file plugins/bStats/config.yml, or alternatively disable it only for Shopkeepers by setting 'enable-metrics' to 'false' inside the Shopkeepers config.

They will duplicate if you crash the server. However, usually shopkeepers should be able to 'reuse' the old entities on the next server start. Shopkeepers however won't be able to reuse the entities if Shopkeepers is not getting disable on the next server restart.
Another situation in which the entities can duplicate: If you stop shopkeepers or shopkeepers get unloaded, and you then stop the server without saving your world first. You basically let shopkeepers remove the entities (so it thinks that they are gone), but then you don't persistently store this removal on disk.
@GuKoMC
You can create both, admin and player shops, with the command. It has always been this way between. It will create a player shop if you are looking at a chest during creation, otherwise it creates a server shop. You can also disable player shop creation via command with a setting in the config.
There are different types of player shops. You can read about their setup above. The 'trading shopkeeper' allows trading similar to the admin shops.
However, the setup is a little more complicated (due to possible item duplication issue when normal players set up shops):
You put the items you want to trade away into the chest, you open the editor window, and then you select an item in your inventory by single-left clicking on it (this will not put the item on the cursor, however shopkeepers silently recognizes it in the background as 'selection'), and then you single-left click a slot in the editor window to put a copy of the 'selected' item into it. You can then increase/decrease quantities like normal via left/right clicking the items in the editor window.
Another limitation compared to admin shops: You can only setup 1 trade per item currently.

Posted Mar 9, 2016@blablubbabc Ok. You are right. It's a playershop..., so i created Servershops all the time... I create it with the /shopkeeper command, not with an spawn-egg. Until now, the command creates Servershops, now it creates Playershops...
So Playershops can't trade with Items to Items... they work only with emeralds ? I hoped it works the same as the servershops, only with Chest. I stopped every Kind of economy, so i hoped it is free like servershops. You can define what you want to give and to get.
Edit: Only if you create the Shopkeeper on a chest it will be automatic a Playershop. A single Shopkeeper ist still a servershop

Posted Mar 8, 2016I have a weird thing going on that I am not seeing anyone else mention.
When I have shopkeepers, after a while, they will duplicate and the duplicates will run around. I am unsure if it's linked to another plugin so i'm honestly at a loss on how to fix. I haven't seen any error codes either.

They should only be able to create player shops, if they have access to the selected, nearby chest.
But anyways, there is WorldGuard support already:

What type of shop are you trying to setup?
For player shops you cannot drag and drop items into the editor window. You have to put the items you are selling/buying into the chest, then open the editor and then left/right click the slime balls to adjust the price.
If you create an admin shop (ex. via the /shopkeeper command), drag and drop should work.

Posted Mar 8, 2016Shopkeeper does not work since 1.9. No Errors in the logfile but... I tried to make a Playershop as Player and OP.. I can't place items in the three rows. It shows the inventory but i cant drag and drop into the rows. As a Player there are an emerald in the first and a slimeball in second and third row visible... I opened all rights with shopkeepers.* but nothing changed... In 1.8.8 it worked fine... It's the best Shop, especially for item-Shops.

You have to create the creation item via some other plugin, like you did with essentials kit. If the item you got from essentials doesn't work, then either the item type, item data value, item name or item lore doesn't match..

I added a name and lore here and after a reload the clock (Im using a clock to spawn a shop) stopped working.
How do i give myself the shopkeeper item?
I tried it with essentials kits. Adding the same name and lore, but that didnt work.

Posted Mar 5, 2016Can you add 2 more options?
1. Shops will be deleted after x amount of time if a shop owner doenst do anything with his shop. Like adding times because the shop is empty.
2. The plugin sends a message x amount of times a week to the player that one of his/her shops is empty. Or everything he/she comes online on the server.
i didnt check the config/plugin if this option is already there :) Eating and thinking about things i like to have :)
