I am testing this new page out. I am aware of some parts that are missing such as ship types, but please say if there is anything that you wish to see. I plan on making a FAQ's that includes common questions such as how to change ship requirements.

Ships 6 changes
Ships has gone through many changes, Ships 6 is the latest rewrite of the plugin. The latest rewrite fixes multiple bugs found in the root of previous versions of Ships.
Features
Moving ships
As the name of the plugin suggests, you can create your own ship and move it with just a single click.
Works with all blocks
There is a fully-fledged list where you can configure every block to react differently for the ships, including being able to add a block type to interact with Ships, detect it as a collide, and even not react at all.
Teleport to ships
There have been many requests to be able to teleport to ships for not only this plugin but others like it. This feature has been added to Ships, however, if it is something you do not wish, then you can disable to command by not adding the command.
Falling Ships
Ships will fall/sink if requirements are not met, this could be done through your own interaction such as running out of fuel, or by something else such as a TNT explosion.

Move the ship:
In Ships, movement is done by signs. You can see all signs here
Collide types:
| Name | ID | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Detect collide | DETECT_COLLIDE | If Ships detects this block in the way of a ship moving then the ship will not move with the error of this block being in the way |
| Material | MATERIAL | Material means that you can build a ship out of this block and the Ships block detection system will detect it as part of your ship |
| Ignore | IGNORE | If Ships detects this block in the way of a ship moving then the block will break and the ship will take its place |

make sure your're fully updated, you can get some weird issues with this if you donthave the absolute latest. the crash can be down to the presence of netherack fencing, and if you use too much worldedit it seems to do it too. but copying the thing, then pasting it again with -a works nice.

In multiplayer mode on my craftbukkit server, if we turn the ship using the [wheel] sign, the windows client crashes. The linux client doesn't. It doesn't happen on a regular move forward, just when the ship turns.
Also, any door (door or fence gate) stays in its original install direction and doesn't turn with the ship.
Thanks, we love the ability to finally move our ships. We had built a few wooded ships in the water and then I found your plug-in. We had to add quite some wool but now they even move. Fantastic !

Go into the plugins folder, open ships plugin folder, and change it in the config. Then change the Required Percentage.

Posted Dec 14, 2012Thought this plugins was great...now I found out how great. One of my server admins and I just built a submarine using this plugin. There are a few issues, but for the most part it works. Will get a link to our web site with a 1 minute slideshow soon as possible (www.myztek.biz).

I'll try to write, is now working on Version 3.0 Completely new code. It will be about 50% -150% faster. but with these chests I have to admit that they do not go out of my well being so it will take me a little.

Posted Dec 14, 2012Hallo! I think it would be AMAZING if chests/furnaces could be used on ships moving with Ships. Here's a suggestion (keep in mind I have no clue how plugin-making or whatever is done, or anything like that, so don't explode on me and say. "THATA NEVER WORK!!!" okay? Thanks) You know how Movecraft and Boatcraft ships can move chests and furnaces? Can't you use however they do it, and put it onto this? Also, when I try to rotate a ship that can move forward with the [Wheel] sign, it says, "This ship is to big!"

Posted Dec 10, 2012I'm having trouble with the chest as well. If they are placed on a ship they lag around during flight randomly on the deck and return the txt message some signs can't be found at x y z location in the chat window. Once this starts I can't press an [engine] sign or [burner] sign without crashing my client. I can use the [EOT] and [wheel] signs without issue. If I remove the chests the Ships plugin works normally. Really need this to work for my cannons. Also, would like to have the stone slab back on the block list. Thanks!
