I am testing this new page out. I am aware of some parts that are missing such as ship types, but please say if there is anything that you wish to see. I plan on making a FAQ's that includes common questions such as how to change ship requirements.

Ships 6 changes
Ships has gone through many changes, Ships 6 is the latest rewrite of the plugin. The latest rewrite fixes multiple bugs found in the root of previous versions of Ships.
Features
Moving ships
As the name of the plugin suggests, you can create your own ship and move it with just a single click.
Works with all blocks
There is a fully-fledged list where you can configure every block to react differently for the ships, including being able to add a block type to interact with Ships, detect it as a collide, and even not react at all.
Teleport to ships
There have been many requests to be able to teleport to ships for not only this plugin but others like it. This feature has been added to Ships, however, if it is something you do not wish, then you can disable to command by not adding the command.
Falling Ships
Ships will fall/sink if requirements are not met, this could be done through your own interaction such as running out of fuel, or by something else such as a TNT explosion.

Move the ship:
In Ships, movement is done by signs. You can see all signs here
Collide types:

| Detect collide | DETECT_COLLIDE | If Ships detects this block in the way of a ship moving then the ship will not move with the error of this block being in the way |
| Material | MATERIAL | Material means that you can build a ship out of this block and the Ships block detection system will detect it as part of your ship |
| Ignore | IGNORE | If Ships detects this block in the way of a ship moving then the block will break and the ship will take its place |

Yes, it's a sad state of affairs in the world or Minecraft, Craftbukkit, and Spigot. I'm really hoping this gets worked out, but the rumors of a Microsoft buy-out...I hate to even think about what that means. I've been busy with other projects the last few weeks.

So as many of you know I have been a Bukkit developer for less then a year (almost a year though). And some of you will know I have helpped Qx2 out with users time and time again before I took over.
As almost all of you know Craftbukkit have come into some problems. There are a lot of rumors going round that this has completely killed the bukkit project.
Mojang are continuing there API server build however that will take time. I will also stat that MinecraftAPI will be diffrent to BukkitAPI. Ships despratly relays on BukkitAPI to run.
It is still uncertain what Spidot are doing however I will say this. With my new build of ships called Vessels (currently on halt) being my next installment on my plugins list. So if Spidiot don't do anything with 1.8+ minecraft and craftbukkit does not get updated. Ships 4.1.1 pre release 1 will be the last Ships EVER. However if bukkit plugins carry on I will contue to update this plugin even after Vessels release like originally planned.

All vessels are designed to be configered. I am really busy duringthe week however when I get a chance I will write up some documents for people to read to show how to use each and every vessel. In the mean time there are YouTube videos. As for the problem you are having, if you are sure you are placing the corrent fuel. You can always send me your server IP and I will come on and try to fix the problem.

Posted Sep 8, 2014my servers players are getting upset that they cant use the plugin, and its really bad that there is a lack of documentation about using diffrent ships and how to use the plugin entirely.

Posted Sep 8, 2014how do i fuel my submarine? i placed two blocks, a dropper, and a furnace, i put coal in the furnace and then put the signs on my boat, move, wheel, altitude, and [ships] submarine SS_Water. But when i go to move it says "No fuel"

Posted Sep 5, 2014Minecraft 1.8 bukkit servers
I have recently learnt that CraftBukkit has got a problem with a licence. (more can be read here)
This means we (users of CraftBukkit) can not download any CraftBukkits until this problem is resolved. However not all hope is lost, Spigot has not been affected by this (somehow) and they have been modifying with 1.7.10 servers so 1.8 client users can join .... This means there is hope that Spigot will create a 1.8 (fully compatible) build.
What I has to do with it
As a CraftBukkit plugin developer my job is to keep users of my plugin(s) happy. This means I try to keep my plugin(s) up to date with CraftBukkit and try to predict the future so i can prepare my plugin(s) to take on the future.
As all of you know (if you dont look at my latest build section above) I prepared for Minecraft 1.8 (to a degree). I uploaded that code late Friday (for me). Considering that it has not been added to my list of versions but other plugins are still being updated. It means Craftbukkit have a lot of plugins to authorize and not much time to authorize them (there are some more but thats the most positive one i could think of).
You can still get updates 10 minutes from after i finish them by going to my FTP server (MoseCraftbukkitPlugins.atspace.tv (tv was the only they had in stock ... for free)), so my work has not come to a complete stop yet. next week i will start work on Ships 4.1.2 (4.1.1 will only have the teleport fix and Minecraft 1.8 blocks added to it) and 4.1.2 will again have Minecraft 1.8 block support but also Spout and Forge block support. It will be handled within a new Materials list (you will keep your settings), I will also tell you that there are more features i believe i have talked about before.

Posted Aug 30, 2014More Plugins coming soon
After 03/09/2014 (DD/MM/YYYY) i will be writing plugins for my own occurred .... as in i will only make updates/plugins for public download. No more private plugins (unless i make my own server).
This means you will be seeing more plugin created by myself (and someone im training).
Whilst i have been creating private plugins for a server i have been thinking of plugins for the public. One of these (technically 3) is the KillingFloor series. However i have also though of some other plugins (one of them takes some inspiration from Halo 3).
Vessels is still underway and i want to make this perfect so i will update Ships as normal from now on.

So I have got my new graphics card and im working on a new Ships release (4.1.1) that will have 1.8 support as well as some other extra features ... but mainly for the 1.8 blocks.
Now keep in mind that i am making this before Bukkit releases there 1.8 code meaning I have no idea if it will work with 1.8 (i also dont know if the blocks will work on Ships) until 1.8 is released.
After 1.8 is released i will start working on patching all the other stuff 1.8 breaks (including the blocks if needed).
In total, This pre-release comes with 1.8 blocks (not supported) and 1 tiny patch that has another go at fixing the bug where players fall off vessels when standing close to the edge.

First of i would like to point out that minecraft 1.8 release is meant to be coming out Sep 2 2014.
I say this because Minecraft 1.8 brings some interesting stuff into the minecraft client, We have no idea what bukkit will be able to do with these new features but i assure you, they will do something. This may cause Bukkits version of Minecraft 1.8 to have a late schedule.
Next up .... I know this will be bad timing and a half but I will be upgrading my graphics card in my computer .... The only way i can afford the new card is by selling the one i currently use. This means i will be without a display on the screen for a few days (hopefully days).
I am going to try to send my code for Vessels and Ships 4.1.0.2 onto my laptop and get that setup for Java programming. However the laptop has a odd Qwerty keyboard that ill need to get used to ... again.

I already have some requests from friends. They will be listed at the bottom.
Please note the solarShip will not see Ships until it is on Vessels (or at least that's the plan)

finally got round to taking a look at the code ..... all the things you described are correct in the code (a few problems with other stuff). The only way i can see that the problems your describing is occurring is if UsePermissions is set to false (UsePermissions is in the main config).
as for the EOT .... i will need to take a look myself (send your server IP over PM)

Posted Aug 21, 2014Does the name of the ship matter if the boat can move or not? Because everytime I make a ship it will say this name is already taken by me. Also the ships don't move and it doesn't come up with any errors
Update: Fixed it but you need to fix the page, in the code it says you put the vessel name on line 3 but here it says you put it on line 4

Im using Ships 4.1.0.2
Im using Spigot version git-Spigot-1527 (MC 1.7.9)
and im using Groupmanager. (Im not sure how to get this plugin's version.)
There's another problem im having; EOT slides players 1 block forward, even at 1 block speed. I'm using Airships but this also happens on Ships.

Posted Aug 20, 2014What the heck? Non-ops get messages that say "You do not have permission to move this vessel" even though they created it. ships.*.use and ships.*.make are even in their list of permissions!
