I am testing this new page out. I am aware of some parts that are missing such as ship types, but please say if there is anything that you wish to see. I plan on making a FAQ's that includes common questions such as how to change ship requirements.

Ships 6 changes
Ships has gone through many changes, Ships 6 is the latest rewrite of the plugin. The latest rewrite fixes multiple bugs found in the root of previous versions of Ships.
Features
Moving ships
As the name of the plugin suggests, you can create your own ship and move it with just a single click.
Works with all blocks
There is a fully-fledged list where you can configure every block to react differently for the ships, including being able to add a block type to interact with Ships, detect it as a collide, and even not react at all.
Teleport to ships
There have been many requests to be able to teleport to ships for not only this plugin but others like it. This feature has been added to Ships, however, if it is something you do not wish, then you can disable to command by not adding the command.
Falling Ships
Ships will fall/sink if requirements are not met, this could be done through your own interaction such as running out of fuel, or by something else such as a TNT explosion.

Move the ship:
In Ships, movement is done by signs. You can see all signs here
Collide types:
| Name | ID | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Detect collide | DETECT_COLLIDE | If Ships detects this block in the way of a ship moving then the ship will not move with the error of this block being in the way |
| Material | MATERIAL | Material means that you can build a ship out of this block and the Ships block detection system will detect it as part of your ship |
| Ignore | IGNORE | If Ships detects this block in the way of a ship moving then the block will break and the ship will take its place |

Posted Jun 17, 2014Ahhh ok cool thank you. There is 1 more bug (Sorry for bugging you with them) When I turn the ship, I get kicked out of it and fall out.
Is there a way to fix this?

Posted Jun 16, 2014Oh, I also forgot. When I try to destroy my ship sign a message pops up saying "[Ships] you are not [the player's name that is on the sign] But I am. I have tried it on 2 servers, still says the same.

ok you are not the first to report those bugs in that order .... Ill give you the same reply as i did for the other person (other person PMed me so you have every reason not to know)
1) we will have a guy working on grabbing the location of the blocks then defining the area of the ship (so they will not connect) however he is waiting for a secure build of ships
2) ships can not fully land on the ground? this is a new bug to me and i do not know where it came from
3) There is a bug i am trying to patch that stops people with 16 letters in there name from owning ships (im having to recode the whole mapping code to fix it).

Posted Jun 16, 2014Can you please fix it so when you get close to another air ship they do not connect to make 1? And also make it so you can fully land on the ground when you try to land, It will only let me land about 5 blocks above the ground.
It would also be nice if you could add a option to where you can turn off owners of the ship. I have players with long names, and they can not make a ship because there name wont fit on the sign.

wow. that error is to indicate that your ship is too big .... saying that you are using the essentials Buy sign it does make me wonder.
ive got a load of bugs to fix and im working on fixing them asap however I have the slight problem of it rejecting my code.
This bug you have reported is now in my todo list however ... prioritizes

Posted Jun 15, 2014Oddly enough, after updating to Ships 4.0.2, Players cannot tp to their ships.
Players tend to get : "An internal error occurred while attempting this command."
EDIT: The error seems to have fixed itself.

The new Maping code is being created at a faster rate then i thought i would create it. Still got a lot to do, however it is getting there (i hope (tests can break the whole thing)).
The new maping code has some code that may make ships size much larger.

Protected vessels is a feature that was introduced in 4.0.2. You said you found the error on 4.0.0 so you may struggle to find protectedvessels

i have had to change a lot of code, and still working on it, however, i believe i have figured out a way how to get round the 'Name being more then 15 letters long' bug. This update will be in 4.0.2.1. This also means it will be in the update that runs on MoseCraft-Core 1.0.1.
its not looking good
Ships 4.0.2.1 is now rejecting my code (spitting out a error that will come up if the code is not correct, however when i come to look at it, i debug it, i do everything to check its correct and it is).
This means i may need to recode the Mapping system the plugin currently uses. I have got a new job that takes out a lot of my hours. then the mapping system will take a long time to code to start with, however i have wanted to recode the mapping system for a while (its horrible and lots of coders reject it).
But, seeing how many errors i run into each update, i dont feel like it will work properly (i.e. you lovely lot will find problems in it).

yes, if you turn 'ProtectedVessels' to true in the config. it will only allow the owner and owners friends to use

No, I know it can be buggy, when close to the surface.
If you mean 'Was the submarine first introduced in a beta' then the answer is Yes, 3.3 Beta (i think 8)

Well the reason is I sometimes change the plugin's config and right now I need to reload the server to get those changes there. This is sometimes a slow process and too many reloads in a short time sometimes cause a memory crash.

may i ask why you want to reload just ships?
I would not know where to start with reloading just my plugin, however ill give it a go
