I am testing this new page out. I am aware of some parts that are missing such as ship types, but please say if there is anything that you wish to see. I plan on making a FAQ's that includes common questions such as how to change ship requirements.

Ships 6 changes
Ships has gone through many changes, Ships 6 is the latest rewrite of the plugin. The latest rewrite fixes multiple bugs found in the root of previous versions of Ships.
Features
Moving ships
As the name of the plugin suggests, you can create your own ship and move it with just a single click.
Works with all blocks
There is a fully-fledged list where you can configure every block to react differently for the ships, including being able to add a block type to interact with Ships, detect it as a collide, and even not react at all.
Teleport to ships
There have been many requests to be able to teleport to ships for not only this plugin but others like it. This feature has been added to Ships, however, if it is something you do not wish, then you can disable to command by not adding the command.
Falling Ships
Ships will fall/sink if requirements are not met, this could be done through your own interaction such as running out of fuel, or by something else such as a TNT explosion.

Move the ship:
In Ships, movement is done by signs. You can see all signs here
Collide types:

| Detect collide | DETECT_COLLIDE | If Ships detects this block in the way of a ship moving then the ship will not move with the error of this block being in the way |
| Material | MATERIAL | Material means that you can build a ship out of this block and the Ships block detection system will detect it as part of your ship |
| Ignore | IGNORE | If Ships detects this block in the way of a ship moving then the block will break and the ship will take its place |

First off, congratulations for all the work lately MoseMister, it is much appreciated. However there is one very big issue which I regret to report to you. My server is running 1.7.2 bukkit, and I tried updating to the latest version of Ships. When I restarted Bukkit with Ships 3.2.1, everything works fine, and the config file is updated to reflect the new materials. But if I change the material settings in the config, save it, and restart Bukkit, it overwrites my settings back to your default settings. This is game breaking for us since we don't want brick stairs or quartz slabs on our ships, and we will stick with the older version of Ships until it's sorted out.

Posted Dec 27, 2013i was wrong, a new normal ship - using a lot of code from the submarine - has now been added to the code. this vessel is called a 'motorboat'.
it requires NO WOOL at all, all it requires (atm - will require more later on) is a furnace for the fuel, and a structure to stand on - oh and the signs to make it move.
so i was wrong, 3.2.2 is not the last one for a while. btw i was very wrong - the beta of the solarship maybe (depending if my new code works) coming in 3.2.4. it uses light but at night it uses fuel from the furnace.

thanks, and we would love to take any server on for testing - we only have two testers (one is me, the other did not want to be a tester, however he/she is having a major.minor problem with java 7 update 45 installed - i am dealing with it) so any environment, any host, any server type, supported craftbukkits for ships, we will be happy to get you to test.
if you still dont think your server would be good for testing, then by all means, we wont be insulted.

i think 3.2.2 is the last one for a few months, i need to learn more java before the lavaship, submarine, and solarship come out.
however i will try to update to a newer minecraft (if one comes out). i am also still testing my last lot of algorithms on the solarship and submarine.

Posted Dec 26, 2013for those that are wanting to know, the Solarship will not be arriving in the near future - however in a few months it maybe coming to you. and same goes with the submarine.
reason why is i have stopped learning java because im going to be learning it in a few weeks at collage. whats the point (unless i want to be smarter then everyone else) of learning the same language 2 times.

ah, we had a guy who had that problem about a week ago.
its some what to do with the plugin, but mainly the problem of out dated java.
its a very simple bug to fix, all you need to do is update your java to java 7. im not allowed to post the link to get java 7, however make sure you get the correct bit version to have the best performance for you pc.
this plugin will always be ported onto the latests java, so keep up to date with your java

Posted Dec 24, 2013Sorry to bother you but i downloaded the plugin and placed it in my plugins folder and it doesn't work. I downloaded the 1.7.2 version and my server is running 1.7.2 but for some reason the plugin doesn't show up. Any help is greatly appreciated

3.2.2 comes with the default water level option. if you dont know what your default water level is, leave it at 63 - you will eventually fill the whole sea with your new level :)

i forgot to mention (i sort of touched on this before) Ships 3.2.2 will not be ready until round late January sort of time. no real reason, i just want to put a update out every month.
ill bring out 3.2.2 if there is a mc update that makes this plugin need a update (for code errors reasons or new block added to mc) however i want to give some time to keep up because it has came to my attention that a lot of people dont like keeping up to date with tech.

i love updates. hardware or software, i love how just one small change gives my whole class another topic to talk about.

based on 3GB of ram, im guessing its got a aright processor for your family computer, meaning your server is crashing due to something else. maybe way too large ships for your server to handle.
i will also say i have not tested this plugin out on linux or OS-X, however that should not matter with plugins
oh and again, if you want help on how to fix it, post the error you got when the server crashed

when a server is not powerful enough to run this plugin, and you try to run this plugin anyway, glitches can happen.
this plugin is not a powerful plugin, it does not require a lot to run it. its such a underpowered plugin that personally i would not run a server of the computer.
if your computer is powerful but glitches like that still happen, make sure your CPU% is less then 95%.
