ScreamingTrees

Are you tired of players cutting down trees? Do you feel as if players just cut too many of them down? Then get ScreamingTrees! All a player has to do is chop, punch, or slash their way through a log to make the tree scream. The guilt instantly overwhelms any player. If the tree feels like it, it might even let the player know how it feels! And due to popular demand, trees now throw apples at players!
Current Features:
- Breaking logs makes the tree scream and bleed!
- Trees might also say something to the player
- Trees can now throw apples at players!
- Configuration for screaming chance, bleeding, speaking chance, throwing chance and damage, and allowed worlds and biomes

Planned Features:
- Make the items thrown biome specific. Possibly custom for custom biomes
- Any features you think should be added? Go ahead and comment!

Posted Aug 4, 2015FunnyGopher, please add support for UTF-8 format and Colors Codes, I am Brazilian and I would translate the messages, but my language uses many accents and special characters. Also, if possible, add a configuration that allows switch [Tree] prefix before lines.

Posted Feb 19, 2014I wonder if you could make it so we can config the kinds of trees and a world guard flag to make "screaming forests"?

Posted Jul 25, 2013Cool premise, but just a zombie sound? And in survival it kinda sucks because you're constantly getting hit just for collecting wood. Also, them talking doesn't work for me.

Posted Jul 1, 2013@navbarry It might depending on how the other plugin breaks blocks, like the first block that is chopped, but I don't think it will for all the other blocks. My reasoning comes from my HeadbuttLumberjack plugin; it doesn't activate any of ScreamingTrees' effects. No way to know for sure until you try it out.

Posted Jun 30, 2013Now if I were to pair this up with a tree feller plugin(a plugin which auto chops down trees) would it still work?

Shouldn't be. I haven't run any benchmark tests running it, but from a code-that's-being-ran point of view, there's no long calculations or block changes that would take a bunch of CPU power. Just simple stuff. You should be fine.

Haha, whoops. I added the option to the config, but forgot to make it actually check the config for the value before it played the bleeding animation. My bad. Uploading the new jar right now. Thank you very much for pointing this out. :)

Hmmm, I will look into this immediately. For the time being, try deleting the config file and reloading the plugin to make a new one. Let me know if this solves your problem.
