Saga

Saga is designed to be a complete solution for RPG servers. Saga allows players to form factions for pvp, establish settlements with numerous buildings, develop abilities and unlock skills. Here is a small list of some of features saga will bring to your server:
- Faction Features
- Players can create factions and invite other players.
- Declare wars on factions and sieges on settlements.
- Wages based on the amount of taxes collected from settlements.
- Assign members roles that grant attribute bonuses, abilities and faction permissions.
- Settlement Features
- Ability to create settlements and invite players.
- Protection from outside influence.
- Settlements gain new claim points every minute, based on amount of online members.
- Member roles that grant attribute bonuses, abilities and settlement permissions.
- Building different buildings with various effects.
- Player Features
- Players gain attribute and ability points from killing both mobs and players and by harvesting resources.
- Training attributes provides various physical bonuses.
- Passive and active abilities.

Saga hooks into vault.
If by faction tags you nean >faction_name<-player_name then you can have those. Just add [FACTION] to prefix. There are also other tags. See https://github.com/andfRa/Saga/blob/master/src/org/saga/dependencies/ChatDependency.java

Posted Aug 5, 2013I love this plugin! It's going to be a great addition to our server. The only concern is the lack of tying into other plugins we have for uniformity. Does it tie into Vault so our other plugins that utilize money can use this? How can we get Faction Tags into our chat plugin (LiveChat)? These are just a few questions I have. Thank you!

Didn't I fix the lava/fire thing?
Fixed export signs.
I fixed the gem mine thing. Brickworks have merchant.
You can't mark buildings. I really don't want to add more commands.

The stuff appearing outside chests it not a bug. The whole reason for there being chests is because there is no way of spawning items (non-blocks) on the ground. In my opinion it looks cooler if you have things like ores spawning on the ground. Although I'm considering adding a chest only option, because a lot of people don't get it.
More players online = more claim/build points per minute.
The pay depends on the amount sold. Weights determine how much goes to each role/rank.
Use the commands listed here, because they are more up to date. I need to bug the site admin to update stuff.

Posted Jul 28, 2013Hi! Just a question. I run a server that Multi-world, one for regular ol sruvival and another for factions. And I'd like to use this as my faction plugin instead of typical factions but doe sit have multi-world support. Such as I can make it so other in the Survival world can't make settlements or factions in it?

I was inquiring about the buildings, although I do know java, I have not programmed anything for Minecraft in it, so not sure if you would want my inexperienced help. I understand it takes time and that the program is in beta, I was just trying to get a feel for the future of this plugin.

I understand only so much can be done, thus why I understand why your considering dropping settlements; we love settlements, and in turn this plugin, because of what it offers in all. In other words the buildings and be more or less entirely customized in spawning items, which rewards gameplay, whereas I do not know of an alternative that "spawns" items. We love the fact that a settlement is safe from war unless it is in a faction (allowing for the neutral option). We have a whole slew of plugins, and when one is not in a faction, one tends to become at a disadvantage in pvp/survival situations, but to myself and others on the server that is worth not being warred against, whereas the opposite is true for others on the server.
Not enough storage is not the problem, wood for lumber camps spawns on the ground, and not in that buildings storage, even though that storage (chest) states that one has opened the storage when opening the chest, which leads me to believe it is an glitch (which we have had since we started using SAGA a month or so ago). The storage does work for farms though, (I do not know if any other buildings have been tested, for we are still getting the server off the ground and testing different plugins here and there.
If anyone does not have this glitch and if it is not user error on our part, then it might be plugin confliction. here are the plugins that were running along side SAGA when we started using it (we have added more plugins since then, but it is a consistent glitch): Essentials, PermissionsEx, Worldedit, Worldgaurd, ChatManager, Vault
We wanted SAGA to be our main plugin thus we started barebones, and assumed it was a glitch or intended functionality.
Does the rate of build/claim points for settlements (as well as factions) increase as more players in that settlement are online, or is it a static growth rate as long as 1 or more are online?.
One further inquiry is that I notice that one gets paid at sunrise and that there are weights for them, is there a place (at all, or) in the config to change the pay grade?
Craftbook works with this plugin (we had factions before and it conflicted heavily (ex. cooking pots)), although I am off to disable Cratbook IC's because supposedly that conflicts with the attribute signs (but we can live without the IC's).
Sorry for the mass amount of text, we are just very appreciative of the plugin, and prefer it over the primary alternative setup of Towny (advanced), MCMMO, etc.
All in all one great plugin, and considering it rewards for gameplay and that fullChestProtection is coming, it makes it excel over the others; especially considering the fact that this is in beta.
We still have a lot of playing with it to do, but we're considering doing a video for it, at least for the config files, for the two of yours' website for SAGA lists all the commands: http://saga.softwarebay.it/wiki/

Well, if you need more storage then that is what warehouses are for.
I added an option for full chest protection in settlements. Can you test it out when I release the new version? "fullChestProtection" (defaults to false)
I already expanded protection to all containers in the next version.
I agree, I need to add comments to the config files. What actually determines what a building does is "buildingClass". You can't combine different building classes unless you know java and wish to contribute.

Settlement formation is in development, but I will probably drop it. Faction formation amount is not ignored. Creation and formation are different things.
