I went ahead and tried The Saga with our server in hopes it would be a great alternative to Factions. I was really impressed with what I saw! Unfortunately, I cannot use it as it completely bypasses all LWC Chest protections and prevents anything editing outside of claimed towns. This severely limits players who just want to roam and build on their own for our server. Is there a way to remedy these two issues, by chance? As well, do you have a #IRC channel that I could request assistance or attempt to provide feedback on?

Coins are an imaginary currency. There is no way to directly incorporate it. However, you can just set up sell/buy (or import/export if you are using Sagas) signs that exchange emeralds for coins at a fixed rate.
Let me know if you need help configuring this.

Posted Feb 15, 2013This plugin looks like an absolutely amazing replacement for both Towny and Factions. However, before I endure the challenge of swapping out Factions (disgruntled players included), there are a few questions I would like to ask that I have been unable to determine from the website, guide, or other sources. :) I appreciate your help!
It's stated the economy runs off of "Coins". Is this an imaginary currency? We currently use emeralds as our means of currency on my server. Is there any way to incorporate my current economy system into the The Saga? Or do I need to completely redo my economy to reflect this new coin system?

Thank Kizaki for the website.
1. Adding trading post plots is a config option. You just modify the amount available.
2. Can't do that without remaking a large chunk of Sagas code.
3. Done! See /aenableopt dfdg.
Inactive members aren’t kicked automatically atm. Should they be? A command?

Posted Feb 13, 2013Your website is looking really nice and I also have a few requests / idea I have been thinking about lately.
1. Multiple trading post plots so settlements can have several buildings for stores.
2. Ability for admins to set arena chunks not connected to settlements. I have old arenas that I would love to use but cant because no settlement is there and they are spread out.
3. Ability for admins to set some settlements as permanent so even if all members are kicked due to being inactive the settlement will remain. This way I can keep any nice settlements let the crappy ones wither and have more for active players to claim and fight for. I think this could be a huge help for small servers.

Posted Jan 24, 2013@TomYaMee Next version will have improved prefix handling.
You just add [FACTION] [RANK] etc to your chat manager config and Saga inserts those.
general.json also has things like factionFormat. Its used if you want to have a space after faction name or any other symbols in some configuration.
"factionFormat":"[#]-", will produce "[factionName]-" in chat

I Don't use WorldGuard, so it is good to know that you can use WorldGuard to deny commands. Thanks.
Saga already hooks into other econ plugins. Directly to essential econ and trough Vault to the rest.

Posted Jan 21, 2013To deny claiming of spawn, get WorldGuard and deny all claim commands. Could you add a tie in with other econ players? (sorry if it already does) It's fine if you don't, it'd just be a nice little side feature.

Posted Jan 21, 2013What I would really like to see is a system where if you dont got saga.wilderness.build permission build, you could then have a system so only certain blocks could be placed in the world. Mostly I was thinking that it could do a lot for gameplay so people could make roads etc.

Posted Jan 21, 2013I don't have time to work on a proper release until February, so here is version which fixes Saga for bukkit update 1.4.7.
www.hot.ee/lostinthecraft/Saga_1.4.7.jar rename to Saga.jar and paste in plugins folder
The way bukkit handles notch updates is stupid, because I literally only had to press shift+ctrl+O 3 times to fix this (organize imports).

Posted Jan 10, 2013Just found out something about the prefixes:
It did overwrite the prefixes I set:
User Permissions
Group Permissions:
Suggestion: Make a smaller parent permissions eg:
saga.user.building.*
saga.user.faction.*
saga.user.settlement.*
etc

Posted Jan 9, 2013I was wondering if you could make it that when you ally with a faction that the allied faction can't claim the settlements your faction owns.
