SafeFire
This is the very first plugin i published on bukkit. It allows you to control fire to your liking, a great tool to prevent fire grief or just natural disasters. It also has an option to alert you if people are trying to use flint and steel to start a fire somewhere.
Features:
- Disable Fire.
- Disable Fire Burning.
- Disable Fire Spreading.
- Alert when fire is placed.
Commands:
- /sf - Displays Help.
Permissions:
- SafeFire.commands -> Allows you to use "/sf" commands.
- SafeFire.place -> Allows you to place fire.

Hmm? Even though the date of this plugin is from 2013 that doesn't mean I made it then. This plugin is actually old (from 2011), the only reason It's here is because some people who used it when I first released it asked me to update it to work with the latest version of Bukkit. Since then I've been working on private plugins for both myself and other server owners. The reason I left it like this is because some people are looking for a basic plugin that is easy to use.

It seems that when fire spread was disabled, it also disabled the spread of GRASS... and probably mycellium too.
..... Whut? As soon as I turned on fire spread, the grass began to spread again.

I made it like that on purpose. You can disable it in the configuration and your players will be able to burn again.

Posted Jun 21, 2013my players don't burn, when they stand in the fire itself, but then when they leave the block immediately fire off, not like in singleplayer you keep burning for a few seconds

I've re-written various things in the plugin, it will take a few days to get verified before you can download. I've added the option to reload the config and a feature to prevent damage done to players/entities.
This time I've done testing to ensure that everything is working 100%.

Posted Mar 9, 2013I can say that yout Plugin definitely does not work. I used it a long time in craftbukkit 1.1 and all was fine. Now i started a new server (cb 1.4.7) with the actual version and my whole house burnt down...
And no, there are no errors in the console.

Are you sure? I just tested and it is working fine for me. Does the console give off any errors?

That would require that the plugin would have to record when a player places fire, it currently doesn't do that. However, you can prevent the player from placing fire and thus avoiding the issue altogether.
