What is Safe Creeper
---
Control creepers, Withers, EnderDragons, Enderman, TNT, Fireballs and a lot more!
With Safe Creeper you can control creeper explosions and other things like, fireballs, TNT, Enderman and a lot of other things, you can set if a creeper explosions destroys blocks. You can set if Zombie's can break down doors. You can also set a lot of other things, the possibilities are almost endless! A few other examples are that you can set up if players are able to use TNT blocks, if creepers will explode above the surface and underneath they wont, set if Enderman can place and break blocks, even if they can clone blocks, explosion sounds, smoke effects and a lot of more things. This is an video witch explains the config file system of an older version of Safe Creeper, it should work very similair with the current version. This video also shows you some features from Safe Creeper:

External Connections
---
Safe Creeper makes some connections to external servers. One of these connections is to dev.bukkit.org itself. Safe Creeper uses this connection to check whether there are any updates available. Safe Creeper is able to download these updates automatically from the dev.bukkit.org servers. Since Safe Creeper 1.5.2.3, Safe Creeper is also posting anonymous statistics to statistics.timvisee.com. This post request contains little information about the plugin and the server it´s running on. This request contains the version of Craft Bukkit, the version number of Safe Creeper, and the amount of online players, this post request may also contain additional information coming from Safe Creeper itself, like the amount of Creeper´s nerfed by Safe Creeper. A server address is not included because the statistics system is anonymous. The Safe Creeper statistics system will send the server´s address if enabled in the configuration file. This statistics system has been implemented to give people the ability to see how many servers Safe Creeper is running on. And to give an overview of the global usage of certain Safe Creeper features. All these systems could be disabled in the configuration file. Safe Creeper does not connect to any other external server than the two described above.

Posted Dec 6, 2012Little bit more information for you: http://www.spigotmc.org/threads/recent-api-breakages.122/
"The second change is affecting the most users, found at https://github.com/Bukkit/Bukkit/commit/e468a8b391336f292d3642ffa4c45b4600e91b64: This change alters the return type of the EntityBlockChange event. Any plugin using this simply needs a recompile. There are only about 60 plugins which will be affected by this change. You can be reasonably sure any block logging plugin will be broken, as well as any protection plugin (WorldGuard) The error will look something like: Caused by: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: org.bukkit.event.entity.EntityChangeBlockEvent.getEntity()Lorg/bukkit/entity/LivingEntity; "

Posted Dec 5, 2012Bookmarking this for later...Going back to AntiCreeper for now though due to the inverted sleep settings, some entity grief still going on (saw that this is already known and fixed soon), etc. Also really like the look of the upcoming effects! Hope this gets another update soon because I would gladly use it when it all works out!

That's right, if I disable the plugin "ExtraHardMode", then your plugin works fine.
The option "BetterTNT" makes explosions more "aggressive" also changes the "crafting" of the tnt, giving you three buckets of "tnt" instead of 1.
See if you can solve the incompatibility with these two plugins. I'm tired of seeing my map filled hole :___(
A greeting. ;)

Hey, at first thanks you! About the beds, this bug was reported before, I'm sorry for this bug thought. The way to temporary disable it is to set 'CanSleep' to false and enable the PlayerControl, the option is accidentally inverted. About the explosions, you should set 'DamagePlayers' to false.
Btw, the bed issue is fixed in the upcomming version!

Posted Dec 1, 2012Great mod - appreciate the work that went into it. I have two questions though. 1) It appears that the mod keeps players from using beds (odd, but consistent with only this mod running, and with the default playercontrol settings). And 2) Is there a way to turn the creeper explosion way down (i.e., so it'll damage but not kill a player) - I had thought that CostumExplosionStrength Enabled=true and ExplosionStrength=1 would to the trick, but it doesn't seem to reduce the damage. Thanks in advance for your help.

Very strange, could you try if the same problem occures if you remove the plugin temporary from your server, I mean the HardMode plugin, if it is fixed then I'm sure it's a conflict between both plugins. If the plugins are conflicting I might be able to fix it using an API, or some other tricks.
Also, is BetterTNT that blocks fly around or what? I mean, in the upcomming Safe Creeper version I added a feature that you can enable to make blocks fly around when TNT explodes :D, witch give a very cool effect!

Hi,
At first, go into the global.yml file inside the SafeCreeper folder witch could be find in your servers' plugin folder. Once you've opened the file search for 'CreeperControl', this is probably on the first or second line already. Inside the CreeperControl, there are a few thing you can change and setup. Make sure you set 'Enabled' to true, otherwise the creeper control thing is disabled, and minecraft will use it's normal behaviour. Then you've to set 'DestroyWorld' to false, once you've set this to false creepers won't destroy the world anymore. After you done that, set 'DamagePlayers' to true, now players will be damaged from creeper explosions.
Hope this helps.

I configured a plugin like this:
CreeperControl:
Enabled: true
DestroyWorld: false
OtherExplosions:
Enabled: true
DestroyWorld: true
And the "creepers" break the world.
I tried to "DestroyWord: false" in "OtherExplosions" but keep breaking the world.
The only options in "Extrahardmode" are:
Creepers:
ChargedCreeperSpawnPercent: 5
ChargedCreepersExplodeOnDamage: false
And:
BetterTNT: false
I tried with true / false, but equally, they always end up breaking the world.
:(

@timvisee
This problem has been fixed too. Again, you can disable the control again with the new version. This fix will be applied in the upcomming version.
One cool thing you might want to know! I've added a great new thing acoording to explosions. You can now optionally set that blocks will fly around when an explosion occures. So for example if you put TNT in a mountain, and you'll ignite it, some blocks of the mountain fly away to somewhere else, and they're placed on the ground again when they hit the ground. This is more a feature to make explosions look more epic, but in my opinion it's great :D

Thanks again for your report. It's strange that these things happend. It's probably because of the new core added into Safe Creeper, I might missed some things since I actually fully rewrote the plugin witch was a huge job. I'll take a look into this, right now.
About the previous problem, it has been fixed. The fix will be applied in the upcomming update.

On the topic of reversed logic, one of the players in my group noted that TNT did not work. I found that by going into the global.yml file and toggling TNTControl from Enabled: false to Enabled: true made it so that TNT worked. That seems backwards to me. The default "false" should mean that TNT works like normal. But that's not the case. TNT only works when you set Enabled: true. (Which is completely backwards from the way all the other controls work.)
