What is RuleBook?
A plugin that allows a player to give a book to players new to joining a server. The plugin checks for a new player and gives them your custom formatted book. Its as simple as editing a configuration.

Configuration
Those of you familiar with Yaml. Know how to format it.

Max Characters 256.# Pages: - '&bCongradulations on joining one of the most awesome servers in existence.' - '&3Upon Joining you should of received this book. That contains a load of rules and crap.'

Plugin Will Break Every Bukkit/MC update.

Posted Dec 27, 2012hey I don't want to offend the author but if you need a replacement plugin for RuleBook because it's not updated you can check out my plugin StandardBooks it gives the same possibilities as this (and more) i think and is already updated and will be improved what is going wrong

Why not just make the first item a book, and let it get overridden with the Rule Book.
This then moves along whatever item you had populating slot one, into slot two.

You could even expand the plugin for example adding custom commands that gives you custom books, e.g. tutorial book(/help), server list of commands(/commands), rules(/rules), and so on. This is a great base to build it on.

Posted Oct 22, 2012Do I need to restart the server everything I make edits to the book? Is there reload command for the plugin? Updates to the book doesnt seem to affect people who already had them.

Posted Oct 11, 2012Hi, I tried editing the config file after launching the pugin for the first time, but when i restart the server the book keeps appearing with the default text (I obviously tried to remove the item from inventory and even removed the whole plugin for then to reload it with Ithe right config file. I thought it could be grammar errors as italian uses many words and symbola like à, è. ', etc.. but when i tried to download the config file I noticed that it wasn't reset by the addon and contaned the text I wanted to appear in game. Maybe the server saved the default text and keeps using it? If so, where can I find the book data files?
