RoutePlanner
Your server has a lot of built stuff and new users aren't able to find the important things? You are tired of having to answer the same questions about where XYZ is again and again?
This is where RoutePlanner comes in! It allows you to define routes to specific locations, and users will be able to follow these routes and reach their destination with a simple command.
Features
- gives the ability to create trigger-based routes with own messages
- players who follow a route get instructions as they walk
- edit saved routes when you made a mistake or want to add/change something
- ingame-help for every command (pays attention to permissions)
- Permissions are supported, but not required! (see below)
- can handle multiworld-routes
- routes are also accessible by right-clicking signs
Pages
- Configuration
- Commands
- Permissions
- Tutorial (text)
- Video (example route, creating tutorial & more)
- Changelog
- Source code (Github)
To-Do
- keep creating/routing sessions upon server reloads/crashs
- allow routes to have ordered triggers
- make the compass point to the next trigger

Can't confirm that on a plain server with only this plugin. I suppose you have a plugin like WorldGuard that blocks player interaction in an area (probably automatically at the spawn area?)
If you have a WorldGuard region at the spawn, try setting the "use" flag to allow. This cancels player interaction and thus cancels right-clicking the sign.
If you have a different region protection plugin, look up the flags for that one, it probably has a similar feature :)

Posted Jan 8, 2012Bug:
So I've noticed that you cannot use a sign if it's in the protected spawn area. Not as OP. Not as OP with permissions and not as a non-OP with permissions. Made a sign for the same route outside of the spawn protected area and it worked fine.
Right clicking the sign tells me I don't have permission.

Posted Jan 2, 2012At first I thought this would be useless... But now that I think about it... I can make boarding alerts for my server's subway. This plugin is awesome :)
