Road
Road - Highspeed railways, Booster launchers, Aerial faith plates
- I Updated this plugin, it was inactive
Installation!
1. Put plugin in plugins folder.
2. Start server.
3. A new config file will be created, Edit it so it fits your needs.
4. Restart server. (Restart required on config Creation / Recreation.)
Configs has ben added!
The config file will be created upon first load.
Command /reload works if you want to use changed values in config.
Features:
These are the default Blocks, You can change them in the config.
Highspeed railway:
Usage:
Stack 3 blocks in the following fashion to create a highspeed railway:
Any Block
Hold down sneak on the railway and travel forward at Speeds set in config! A very convenient way to travel around a huge world.
Booster launchers: Usage: Stack 4 blocks in the following fashion to create a booster launcher: Any block above a diamond block (57) above a glass block (20) above a lapiz lazul block (22)
Any Block

Stand on the launch pad to get sent high into space! Better suit up or you just might die
Aerial faith plates: Usage: Stack 3 blocks in the following fashion to create an aerial faith plate like seen in portal 2! Any block above a brick block (45) above an iron ore (15)
Direction of repeater
Any Block

Next, attach a redstone repeater above the top block. The direction of the repeater is the direction the plate will launch you towards.
- Issue: Aerial faith plates do not accurately send you in the correct direction: This issue has to do with a discrepancy between the server and the client. The vector of your trajectory is programmed correctly, but it is up to the client to interpret this. Currently, there is no fix for this problem. =[

Ok, the way it works is it multiplies the Sneaking(If it uses the Sneaking speed :S) speed while 0.1 is the sneaking speed so that's why the speeds might look little weird.
Also, i think if you have another plugin witch increases the walking speed, It adds up when using the HighWay. The 0.34 was not en precise value. Id see if i can convert or something like that, So could you provide me the Best speed for Walking? Also, Thanks for the feedback :)

Ok, it seems to work. However, I did some testing by timing how long it took to walk/sprint/use the highway between two points.
The distance I set up took 10 seconds to travel while walking normally (I timed it several times to make sure).
Sprinting took about 7.5-7.6 seconds.
Using the 0.34 setting you said was sprinting speed took 10 seconds, which was my walking time, and doubling it to 0.68 took 5 seconds, and setting it to 0.446 (Approximately 30% more than the 0.34 walking speed, which should make it the same as sprinting) took about 7.6 seconds...
So, I assume your comment below about 0.34 being sprinting speed was a typo, and you meant walking speed. Since 2 is supposed to be twice as fast, and 4 four times as fast, it might make sense to set it so that 1 is 1 times as fast (i.e. regular walking speed), instead of 0.34. Then 1.5 would be 50% faster, 2.0 would be 100% faster/twice as fast, and so on. It would just make it more consistent with the other settings. If you decide to keep it the way it is, I would at least make sure you add in a comment in the configuration file/put something up on the page here (Other than your comment which might not be seen) about the walking speed being 0.34, so people know.
However, this is just a minor suggestion and I'm not trying to complain. Although I've only done a small amount of testing, this looks like it will work wonderfully for me. Thank you so much for fixing this! I really appreciate it, and I'm sure so will many others.

I will do some testing
EDIT: Ok i fixed the issue and it will be available in v0.2.3
The Speed was saved as an INT witch made it 0 if it's not an int, Now Double.
Speed: 0.34 is the Sprinting speed.

Posted Jul 28, 2012I am very much looking forward to using this plug-in, but I wanted to use it for more regular roads constructed between areas that you could use for a small boost to speed. In other words, it would make building roads out of, say, stone brick, practical, and not just for looks. However, I only wanted to make the speed boost something like 25-33%, so faster than walking, but no faster than sprinting.
However, in testing, the speed doesn't seem to be able to be set to smaller numbers. I set it to 1.25, instead of 4, and while it was slower, it was still much faster than sprinting, which it shouldn't be. Can speed take decimal numbers, or is it integers only? I tried setting it to 0.5, and got no speed increase or decrease. Setting it to 1.0 still gave me the faster than sprinting speed increase that 1.25 did.
In any case, is there a way to allow for smaller increases in speed, like 10% or 50%, and can you use decimal numbers to do it? I'd really like to be able to use this plug-in, but I need the speeds to be configurable to lower amounts. There is no other plug-in that does what this one does, that I can see, so I really appreciate you updating the old one.
Thanks!
