Description
Restart Evolution is a plugin that allows admins to restart and stop their servers.
The server script automatically detects by typing in a command whether it should stop or restart.
If you cant edit the start script, the server will do an restart or stop (defined by your hoster) when you type in /re stop AND /re restart.
This Plugin works only perfectly if you can edit the start script.
But you can also use it without the Script!
- Restart/Stop the server with a specified message
- Set the warningtimes in the config
- Modify every warning at RestartEvolution
- Restart/Stop the server immediately
- Restart/Stop the server after the given time
- show not decimal time without a comma
- working also with linux / mac
- status on join
- Sound when warning Sound-List
Setting up
You just have to put the RestartEvolution.jar file in your plugins folder and replace your start script with the one at the Scripts page.

The Restart file is only created a short time before the time ends. And gets deleted on the enable and on all stops, so where do you want that the file doesn't gets created?

Posted Mar 27, 2014Suggestion for a feature: The restart file is automatically created and then deleted when the /re stop command is issued. This way if the server crashes, it'll reboot automatically. Assuming it manages crash all the way, and not hangs.

I think you didnt regenerate the config file.
In the new one, you can turn the sound on and off.

It only works with a host, if the start script of the hoster restarts the server if you type in /stop. But then it also would restart the server if you type in /re stop. If you can edit the start script, it would work fine.

Posted Mar 6, 2014i got a nasty error in my console using 1.7.2 r0.3 http://pastebin.com/YNypAjCB
it does that when using ingame command and via console.
it appears that the sound its using is no longer availible. so when i changed it to anvill fall sound it was fixed :)
mabe a fix for next time

Only if you can edit the start script.
If the hosters script says to stop the server if you enter /stop then it stops. If the hosters script says to restart the server if you enter /stop then it restarts.
If you want to restart AND stop it, send the Hoster my Startscript.

The Plugin is working with 1.7.2. But the next Update will be a newer Version.

I want to be honest, i dont know whats wrong with the script. I'm very sorry that your Servers crashed, I cant explain why this doesnt work. Have you changed anything in the script?

I want to inform, that the linux script make all my servers crash. That's because it seems inject some random command and goes in loop. I found my cpu at 99% and in all server the message. "command not found" spammed 5-6 times in a second. Since i took away the script all server doesn't not crash more.

At the moment, you cant modify the message when you join. But I'lll look to add that.
