Residence


About
Residence is different from most protection plugins in that it aims for the users to be able to protect their own homes without having to bother the admin to do it. Residence has support for a variety of different protection types including preventing movement through areas, all of which can be configured by the land owner, and limited by the admin.

- Dynmap Residence - Dynmap plugin that shows residences on the webmap.
- ResExtras - Control snow, ice, animals, mobs, and more within a residence.
- Residence Fly - Controls flying within a residence. Leaving will cause a player to fall.

Im having a bit of difficulty setting up the residential teleport on my multi-world server. The teleport system itself works ok, but the problem is that it allows players to teleport at any time regardless of what world the player is in, or where they are at.
I need to set it up so that if a player is in the wilderness (world1), they cannot teleport back to town. (world2), but still allow them to teleport to different residences as long as they are already in town (world2). Can anybody explain if this is possible? If it is, where do i make the changes in the configuration?
Hopefully I've explained it clearly enough for somebody to understand my goal.
Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Posted Feb 19, 2013Release 2.6.6.3(Not the experimental, but the one that is going through approval right now) features a now bugtested and fully functional new internal storage of residences, servers with large amounts of residences will notice a major performance increase. It also addresses a few other bugs such as subzones persisting after the main zones area no longer includes them.
Next features/improvements slated for 2.6.6.4:

This item/mod should be fixed to use known events that can/are denied in protection plugins.
Example plugin that fire event as user (the right way but have a problem with AntyCheat plugins): MiningMachine
Yes, you could catch interact event and check if you are on residence, but I assume that this plugin could be use from outside of residence, so the only/best way is to modify Mining laser plugin.

Posted Feb 19, 2013Hi again. I have problem with one of item in my mod. I mean Mining laser (More here). This item can destroy block IN RESIDENCE. I any solution how fix this to disable using in residence? (Disable right click with this item in residence) P.S When i used Residence in 1.2.5 it was disabled automatically and it worked! I don't know why now its not working

Yeah I deleted and reuploaded a fixed one, in my haste to redo the system I forgot to account for residences made during run time xD. The residence is made fully and exists, but locational look-up(Which is used for nearly everything) doesn't find it.

I just found a problem, when u create a res it says that it's created but it doesnt protect it, and when u are in it and u type /res current it says there is no res.

You mean you want to pay for m2 not m3?
I use "Residence limtis" for forcing players to create min height 255 and then i have price for m2 not m3 :) Then players still can create subzone i any size, but it's not perfect :) But for now there is only cost of block in Residence.

It can be done by some addons, its only 1 function that catch flag check event and allow if someone have flag :) So i rather see that as a addon to not decrease performance :)
