Residence


About
Residence is different from most protection plugins in that it aims for the users to be able to protect their own homes without having to bother the admin to do it. Residence has support for a variety of different protection types including preventing movement through areas, all of which can be configured by the land owner, and limited by the admin.

Posted Sep 23, 2012Never mind about that last post. I decided to try, and though I thought I had tried before and it didnt work I found that it dose work. In fact it was simple to make a residence then make a subzone within that residence and place the subzone for sale. Decided to leave post in case someone else wanted to do the same.

Posted Sep 23, 2012Thank you Nate302 for the suggestion. I looked into it the problem is that I really do like residence. So is it possible to forgo the WG region and make a larger residence that I or server owns and then make smaler plots for sale within that region?

Posted Sep 23, 2012hi, i am on 131 r1 with 2651 and today server start lagging and I see in nolagg examiner and see 994ms residence and 630ms resprotect. EntityDamageByBlockEvent[Normal] for Residence and REsProtect processes..

Posted Sep 21, 2012Would it be a possibility for future releases to have, if chosen by a residence owner, a message print-out saying that somebody has entered or left their residence and if they removed something from a chest or have a few options like that?
I'm not sure if that's possible, or likely, or if it'd even be practical as far as server stress is concerned. But I can't seem to find anything that allows my players to keep track of what is taken or put into their Residences or Residence chests while they're online, or even offline.

All protection plugins work the same as Residence, including world guard. If they are layered, and one of them changes a "vanilla" state, the other plugin generally can't override it unless it's forced. The only thing that could be added is the ability to block creating a Residence if it overlaps with a worldguard region.

Posted Sep 21, 2012First of all I think this is a great plugin... That said any chance you can make residence have a priority setting to overide region settings created in worldguard? For example make a town protected by a defined region in worldguard that has plots for sale created in residence. So players can't break roads or blocks anywhere but in the plots that they buy in residence.

Atm there are exactly two permissions: residence.create and residence.admin everything else is done in the config. In the near future I will extending the functionality of things and making it a bit less config based.

I had hard time fixing the problem with world edit, but I did it.
Now, the problem is: even with the residence.create permission set to players, I can't have them able to do /res select vert. Possibly, there are other problems...
Could anyone send me the link showing the permissions, if there is one?

TP flag only allows or deny using /res tp ResidenceName, it doesn't control other teleport plugins like /home or /warp

Posted Sep 11, 2012I'm having trouble with the TP flag. I want to deny access to players trying to TP into a residence, however when I try to block it, people can still tp in and out. I'm using this command, "/resadmin set tp false" any idea what im doing wrong?
