Residence


About
Residence is different from most protection plugins in that it aims for the users to be able to protect their own homes without having to bother the admin to do it. Residence has support for a variety of different protection types including preventing movement through areas, all of which can be configured by the land owner, and limited by the admin.

Addons
- Dynmap Residence - Dynmap plugin that shows residences on the webmap.
- ResExtras - Control snow, ice, animals, mobs, and more within a residence.
- Residence Fly - Controls flying within a residence. Leaving will cause a player to fall.
- Residence Signs - Easy buying/selling/renting with signs.
- ResTown - Controls which users can build outside of a residence.
- ResProtect - Protects animals via flags
- ResCreative - Grants creative on entering a residence.

Posted Aug 12, 2012I checked all plugin I have. It was all in essentials, all was fixed by TNT remove. Its not so much problem ,if someone tell you when you should search. It was just in 3-5 places. About 5 min to fix. Now it works perfectly. Thanks much.

Are you sure this is the entire stack trace, usually it would tell what line in residence its having the problem at... If not I will keep looking but I am having a hard time finding what variable I didn't do a null check on.

do you use essentials protect ? there is in config file where you need to remove TNT from place block ( there is also lava and other things there )

Posted Aug 12, 2012Hi I have a big problem with TNT. Players are not abble to place TNT in any residence, even if it is their own, they own subzone . Do someone now, how I can make it possible? I did not found any flag to make it possible. I am using residence 2.6.5, latest build ResExtras and Residence fly. Thanks for advice.

Posted Aug 12, 2012Using the latest Dev Build on my 1.3.1 server, and it absolutely kills it. I'm not sure if it's the move interval (which i've bumped up to 1,250 ms) causing the large amount of lag, or if it's something else to do with the plugin. However, I believe it more than likely IS the Move Interval because i've saw numerous errors pop-up in the console announcing a "failed" move-check. I do not have any logs of it, but I will attempt to get one later once I re-enable the plugin.
We're on a 20 slot, 1.5GB RAM MC Server. I'll be bumping up the checking interval to see if it releases a large amount of load/lag on the server.

Yes in the config there is a place where you can add default flags for groups that are given on creation of a res. Add them to a certain group and then give that group default permissions on creation. I am assuming this is because of Tekkit Fake players for their machines right?

In other news I found the cause, it had to do with the new-ish toggleability of resadmin status. Since its on by default, the command system took the resadmin status as if you typed /resadmin blah blah blah. So I fixed the code to not have resadmin toggleability affect commands as when using /resadmin to buy/lease land it doesnt charge the account. In other words... Dev build....
