Report To Admin

Important: Pushover is $3.99. I can't control the pricing of this app, and I don't make or produce it, Superblock does. Furthermore, I cannot add features to Pushover as a service - I simply take advantage of their API. If you're interested as to what else uses Pushover, see Pushover's apps collection. Please take this in mind when commenting about the price. You could buy a Big Mac at McDonald's or an app that will work forever.
Report To Admin is a plugin that allows players to send reports to admins who have iOS/Android devices running the Pushover app. Admins will then be notified via Push notification to the app the text of the report and the category being sent.
The plugin is still in its early stages, and allows for two types of primary reports to be sent, those involving an attack on the server and those involving server bugs. An 'other' category exists for any generic other problem.
See the Installation Guide for more info on how to install and use the plugin.
Even more information can be found on the Github Readme.

Posted Sep 5, 2013I'm having trouble getting ReportToAdmin working...
I have a Pushover account, and can send myself push notification messages directly from pushover.net.
I have ReportToAdmin installed on my MC server, and the command is recognized. It asks me the questions about the type of report etc. and says that it is sending the report when finished. But I never actually get the report, and pushover.net does not show any messages sent from my app.
I followed all the instructions provided on the installation guide linked above, even verified that the .jar files are executable on my FTP server. Files are in the right place (/jar/lib, /jar/plugins), and config.yml has all the required info. I'm stumped at this point... I'm including a snippet from my server console log below.
Does anyone have an idea about what might be going wrong? Thanks!!!

I'm not selling the plugin. The plugin is GNU GPL v3. Pushover is a service that connects to the plugin. You can also use Pushover for Github notifications and just about anything using IFTTT or Zapier.
I had a need to engage and get real time information from players on my server without the hassle of giving out a phone number for use in an "emergency." I don't intend it to be a fully fledged ticketing system - ReportTRS is exactly that.
Console connection - I don't own or make Pushover, Superblock does. Pushover is a notification delivery mechanism only.

Posted Jan 7, 2013This could be a really cool plugin. Seeing as how there is not any current plugin available(That I know of) that works on iOS. However, there isn't enough in this yet for many people to feel obligated to buying the plugin(IMO). I would want to buy this however if:

It was hacked up in a single night, I'm thinking of ways to word those categories. Thanks for the input.
@S1lverK3y
Boxcar isn't cross platform and I don't own an iOS device to test on. Anyone can fork the code and switch the APIs to Boxcar, but I don't feel the need when the alternative is spending some change on an app everyone can use.

Posted Jan 7, 2013@nicatronTg Boxcar also seems to be way better than Pushover... and its free. Why not adding it to the description? Would make iOS users more satisfied to see something that isn't negative for iOS users right? Link to Boxcar: "https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/boxcar/id321493542?mt=8" without the quotes

Posted Jan 7, 2013Seems to work perfectly well. ;)
I just think that the categorie-selection is a bit confusing. Why not let admins create own categories and then list them when someone uses /reporttoadmin.
Expample: Would you really like to make a report? Type a number to select a categorie: 1. Server under attack 2. Technical problem 3. Whatever
-User types: 2
-You selected "Technical problem", Describe your report...
I think this would be better. ;) Anyways. Cool plugin. :)

Posted Jan 6, 2013@lokda $3.99 is cheaper than buying a meal at McDonald's and two cups of Starbucks. The value added is also infinitely greater.

A download is on Github already. I posted the same version on here, but it's awaiting approval.
@S1lverK3y
I'll admit it's odd to have an initial cost, but it isn't my service. Pushover is a business too, and they have to pay for the servers they run to keep the service online. The alternatives are Boxcar (iOS only) and Notify My Android (Android only). The only one that's entirely free appears to be Boxcar, but I don't have an iOS device to test on. Notify My Android is free for 5 notifications per day, which won't cut it for most real world applications. The idea is to have instant notifications from players, and being limited artificially would ruin the idea of the plugin. Sorry!

Posted Jan 6, 2013Hey Nicatron,
Have an idea when this will be released? I LOVE the idea, and Pushover is a nifty way to do it.
Thanks,
