Regios
Current stable version: v5.9.9 for CB 1.6.2-R0.1
Regios, a fully fledged, extensive and extendible Region mod. Regios allows you to easily create regions with a vast amount of properties such as protection, entry & exit control, password protection, speed and health modifiers and much more! Regios is multi-world compatible and lightweight. More so Regios is open source and has a well documented API which will allow other developers to make add-ons to make Regios even better!
NOTE: Regios v5.0.3 and later now REQUIRES Vault for Economy and/or Permissions support. You can still use Regios without Vault but it will be Op or basic superperms only and without economy support.
Do you use Dynmap? Ever wanted to see your Regios regions on Dynmap? Well now you can! Try the new Dynmap-Regios!
Some of the main features of Regios are:
- Complete Region protection.
- Spout GUI editor!
- Permissions and group modification in real-time, force commands and inventory options.
- Prevent exit or entry with password authentication.
- Transfer structures/regions from server to server with new Blueprint (*.blp) files!
- Backup your Regions and restore them to their former states. (Now includes container contents and sign text!)
- API access.
- Fun features such as health control, pvp settings and speed modifiers.
- Per world configurations.
- Default Region settings.
- Simple flat file storage allows for manual editing if needed.
- Universal Economy/Permission support through Vault
- WorldEdit Support
Current To-Do list (in no particular order or priority):
- Fix Spout GUI
Add non-cuboid regionsCompleted in 5.9.0!- Add self-contained permission system
- Add player variables to commands
Expand Regios APICompleted in 5.9.0!- Better multi-world support
- Add renting
- Add fall damage prevention
- Fix water and lava placement issue when regions are close to each other
- Add more effects for "fun" commands (prevent hunger, regen hunger, cause potion effects, etc.)
- Add some way of visualizing regions in-game.
- Add some form of child regions (mainly to prevent players from creating regions inside of other players regions)
- Add some form of priority system for regions (for when regions overlap)
- Add music looping
- Make tutorial videos!
- Make the commands more flexible (and helpful)
- Add more command aliases (for some of the stranger commands, such as set-creature-spawns)
- Add zombie door break protection
- Improve modification commands
- Add optional auto-update function
- Add world commands
- Add a scheduler for backups

Do you have any plugins that alter how signs work?

Do you have the regios.override.all permission set for yourself? That would allow you do edit any region as well as bypass protection even if you aren't an Op.

hi, well, I tried /r protect-all, /r protect, /r protect-bb and /r protect-bp and it still didn't work. only fires that I made with flint and steel went out but lava wasn't blocked. I tried setting the region to another owner but it still didnt work. I also noticed that even if the region wasn't mine and I wasn't an OP, I could still edit the regions protection. Is this because I have Vault installed? I can post a ticket with all my plugins if that's what you'd rather have me to do. thanks in advance, RDDMF

Use either /regios help or /regios edit <regioname>
@GrimblyGorn
After you've selected your two points you have to do /regios create <regionname> to finalize the region.
@Chubaca6195
To use the tool (wooden axe by default) you have to type /regios set once you do that you will be able to select two points and then type /regios create <regionname> to finalize the region.
@RDDMF
What command did you use to protect the area? Did you try /regios protect-bb <regionname> and /regios protect-bp <regionname>? protect-bb prevents blocks from being broken and protect-bp prevents blocks from being placed.

Posted Apr 9, 2012How do I set regions with the tool ? Some kind of step by step guide would be very helpful cause I'm apparently missing something here. I've confirmed the tool is correct and tried using /regios set and I'm getting Regios[1] x,y,z and Regios[2] x,y,z chat readouts but I have no idea what to do to finalize this thing. Hopefully, Im not just being dense here :)

Please remove the error from your comment and then post a link to the error using pastebin.com. That is too long and unreadable for the comments. Thanks.

Out of curiosity, what permissions plugin are you using? Also, what is the permission node you are using specifically?

Posted Apr 8, 2012I'm so happy to see this back up and running/updated :) Great work! I'm having issues with the regios.restrictions stuff not working. Is their any work around for this at the minute or a fix coming soon?
Also on a side note I've just seen where you johnnyzerox7 will be the one maintaining this plugin. Well I'm trying something new on my Minecraft server to help out people like yourself who put a lot of time/work in to these plugins. I'm going to start billing my members to use my Minecraft server based on a % of the plugins they use. The profit made from this usage will then be divided and donated to the plugin Authors/Maintainers of the plugins I have installed on my server. I will be doing this every 3 months and if you keep the plugin up and working you will see donations from myself for the members of Sector-Thirteen.com who enjoy the work you all do.
