This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of Minecraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.
I decompiled the jar and I saw in the code where the balance is reduced. I might try testing locally if you have the source hosted somewhere. I'll use the debugger to see what exactly is happening when that call is made.
It's either that, or maybe you could throw in some additional logging in that area and release a version for testing to a select few people that have the issue to try to determine what's happening.
That is also the iConomy version I use.
I see that your Vault is a little bit outdated. I use 1.2.13.
But DreamPhreak uses the right version. And he has the same problem... so...
I really have no clue. It's kindof driving me nuts.
If I remember correctly. Somebody found a working combination of versions.
Maybe I can look into that. But I'm running out of options.
Time to ask for help on the forums I guess.
Latest RegionSelfService file (1.6.2 beta) and Craftbukkit #2110
RSS is working really good now, that the region prices isnt stuck at $42.50 anymore, and can finally put the price at $10000 like i needed to.
But, there is still that problem of not taking out the money from the player's balance. I think once this problem is fixed, then i will finally be able to open up player shops on my server.
Tested 1.6.2 again and it is now loading correctly on the server. Unfortunately the issue still persists. If I buy a region for 1000 and I have a balance of 2000 before the transaction, my balance remains at 2000 after, and I am the owner of the region. Without this working correctly the plugin is completely unusable on our server.
I think maybe you don't understand exactly what the bug is that we're reporting. It has nothing to do with removing the cost from the player's balance on creation. It is related to not charging the player when they type /selfservice buy after clicking on a For sale sign.
Also, 1.6.2 is available for download, and it's not loading properly on our server.
I have installed Bukkit 1.2.3 R-0.3
Vault 1.2.13
iConomy 6.0.9b
RegionSelfService 1.6.1
(pretty much the latest versions of minute ago)
And it seems to work fine!
Fresh install. Configured onCreate.enableCost: true.
I just made myself OP and tested it.
It asked me to accept the cost of the new region.
I checked my money before and after... and it really did take my money.
So I'm not sure what's going on over there.
Anyway, I'm gonna hook into the mentioned Vault and Bukkit versions... now. I will upload soon.
Tell me if I'm missing something... Am I really using the latest versions?
And... are you really using the latest versions?

Posted Mar 25, 2012We could do this:
If one of you guys makes an exact copy of your server. And upload it to ....
(i was gonna say MegaUpload... but... America happened)
Anyway maybe if I have an exact copy of your server. I can figure out what the problem is.
Because I never had this problem. Hard to solve that way

[RegionSelfService] Enabling RegionSelfService v1.6.2 beta [RegionSelfService] Economy plugin found: [RegionSelfService] Vault v1.2.12-b136 (iConomy 6) [RegionSelfService] Protection plugin found: [RegionSelfService] WorldGuard v594-f2fead1 [RegionSelfService] RegionSelfService enabled!
No errors. That's what displays on load.
Because you're probably curious, it looks like we're using iConomy v6.0.9b.

Now I also installed Craftbukkit #2110.
And I also have Vault v1.2.13-b148.
I removed iConomy... and used the economy of Essentials v2.8.3.
Which Essentials version do you have?
It works fine here.
Looks like it's not a version problem.

I understand.
You're right. I tested creating a region with
enableCost: true. But I just tested.. simply buying a region via a sign... and that works too.
So I don't understand wtf is going on. I kind of wish that I had the same problem :)
Can you tell me what RegionSelfService says.. when you start the server?
I mean all that version info. Thank you :)

And... I am not getting that error. Maybe try to download RegionSelfService 1.6.2 again?

Posted Mar 23, 2012I uploaded 1.6.2.
I am afraid it will not fix your problem.
But I added something helpful I think :)
When the plugin enables, it shows you which versions it's hooked to.

Posted Mar 23, 2012When I start my test server. I see that Vault links to Essentials. And Essentials says "Payment method found (Vault - Economy: iConomy 6)".
Sounds like a bit much... but it works :P

Posted Mar 23, 2012I also downloaded the latest WorldEdit/WorldGuard.
I just "hooked" all those versions to my code.
I get no warnings or anything. So I think that means nothing really changes.
Maybe there's an error that I'm "catching" in the code. So it is ignored.
I will look into that. Upload a new version.
If nothing helps I'm gonna need to ask for help on the development forum :)
