Hello everybody,
This is Tobias aka Phoenix, the developer of this project. I am sad to inform you that RegionForSale, just like the Bukkit project, is pretty much dead nowadays. I do not like the fact that Minecraft is owned by Microsoft and, even though I respect the company, I cannot see how the spirit of Minecraft fits in there at all. Shame on you for selling, Notch! I do not care about the money involved. But this game, no matter how much profit it generates, belongs into the hands of loving, independent developers (Just like Bukkit – love you guys). My opinion. To be fair: My interest shifted in general as well. So overall, I am not willing to work on this project for free anymore.
Q: What about security updates / bugfixes?
A: I will do my best to still fix those and upload a new version for you. I do not want to let you down.
Q: Will you continue if I donate xx dollar?
A: Probably not. Please try to estimate the time I spend and apply a horrific minimal wage – I am sure you still do not want to pay that. Yes, it’s quite some time.
I still want to thank you very much for the few donations I received up to this point. Developing was fun and I was so very euphoric when I received my first donation. I still remember quite well. Not to forget about the many supportive comments and “thank you”s I received despite the money.
Sincerely,
Phoenix_IV

Updating
RegionForSale provides an automatic update checker to let you get informed as soon as a new version is available. If you do not want to use this feature you can set check_for_updates to false in the general.yml config file.
Todo
- Quick-set options on signs
- Give users, who rented a region, the possibility to buy it (without unrenting + possible rebuilding). The other way round would be retarded - Tell me if you don't think so.
- Auto-updater for minor updates (?)

There is no default option for this yet, but there will be. In the meantime you can check out this:
Bukkit Forums: Inactive players excuting a command - Run the forgetPlayer command for offline players.

Hey, thanks! I will answer your question in English so that everybody can read it, I hope that's fine for you.
Of course this is possible; if you set permission-required-buy to true for a parent region players will need the permission regionforsale.buy.<region1> to be able to buy it. If there is another, smaller parent-region inside (region2) and you enable the perm-required setting for this one as well, players who only have permission for region1 still cannot buy inside region2. The same the other way round: If you give permission for region2, but not region1 the player will be able to buy regions in region2, but not in the larger, surrounding region1.
Does that answer your question?
@Fartbox12345
This is because how the WorldGuard system works: If you set these settings in the global config file they will apply to all regions, but if you set them for the dummy-region
__global__other regions will not adapt these settings, as long as they do not define__global__as their parent (WG internal parent-system).-

__global__settings seems to override your regions. I have it say so that water doesn't flow, leaves don't decay, etc in global but in you regions it stills persists even though no setting has been set to prevent it from happening.

Posted Jun 26, 2014Hey Phoenix_IV, geiles Plugin.

Hey,
If you enable the rollback feature a snapshot of each region will be created when someone buys it. When he sells it back the snapshot will be applied.
-> When sold a region will look exactly the same as just before purchase. The look of the region can be changed by administrators while nobody owns it.

Hey, make sure your language (general.yml) is set to "en".
"[default-en]" will cause the plugin to use the internal file.

Posted Jun 22, 2014Editing the language file always falls back to the one in the jar I think. I edited the "(No Permission)" line of text to (Donors Only), and it keeps reloading to (No Permissions) on reloads and reboots.

Yes. Have a look at the permission-required-rent setting. This will require the player to have a certain permission (depending on the region the setting is made for) to be able to rent it.

Posted Jun 13, 2014Any ways to restrict a player from renting a region that their rank shouldn't be able to have? For instance, one rank gets a certain area they can rent in, while another rank gets the other.
