This plugin is for giving players the option to rent or buy a region. It could be used to let them rent a jail in your Prison server or maybe a shop in the market of the Survival server. The player interacts with signs, making it easy to use. It also has a lot of commands to check the status of all regions, manage the renting and buying of a region and also features for admins. Also the plugin is capable of saving the region and restoring it later, this is very flexible and can be set general and per region, check the config for more information.
All features in a list:
- Rent and sell regions to players + Players can resell their bought regions to other players
- Signs for easy interacting and current status
- Change the language of the plugin or use of of the already provided language files (check here for supported languages, these are already packed with the plugin, just change the language setting in the config).
- Automatically let the plugin restore the region with schematics
- Change which commands players can use with permissions
- Customize the plugin by changing the config
- Automatically place the region name on the sign if it is placed inside a region
- Teleport to rent/buy regions and optionally set the teleport location (teleporting is safe and within the region)
- Adding friends to regions (which also can teleport then)
- Automatic unrent/sell for regions of which the owner is offline for a certain time
- Warning to players when their rent is about to run out (at login and while they are online)
- Group system to set options for a couple of regions instead of all of them.
- All heavy tasks are spread over time (each tick a part is executed until done), so the plugin should not cause any lag.
- Rent/buy limits can be different per permission node (player group), world or group of regions (possible situation: Normal players can buy 1 market region in survival + 1 build region in survival and 2 plots in creative, while VIPs have double limits for all those), check this example.
- Supports name changes because of saving player info by UUID, for more details check the FAQ entry: What happens when a player changes his name?
You need to have WorldEdit, WorldGuard and Vault installed on your server, WorldGuard is used for creating and managing regions, WorldEdit for the saving and restoring the blocks in regions and Vault is used to let players pay for the regions.

Metrics
This plugin utilizes Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
A unique identifier, the server's version of Java, whether the server is in offline or online mode, the plugin's version, the server's version, the OS version/name and architecture, the core count for the CPU, the number of players online, the Metrics version.
This information will give me an indication about how much the plugin is used and encourages me to continue development. Opting out of this service can be done by setting 'sendStats' in the config of this plugin to 'false', if you want to disable Metrics for any plugin go to plugins/Plugin Metrics/config.yml and change 'opt-out' to 'true'. Check graphs of the statistics at this page: mcstats.org/plugin/AreaShop
Do you want to translate AreaShop?
Help translating the plugin into different languages and to keep the translations up to date. Go to this page for more information. Translating goes through the Transifex website and is very easy, sending files back and forth is not needed, you can translate lines online and whenever you want. Every line you translate will be saved, no need to do it all at once (this also allows for easy collaboration).

Heel vreemd dus. Weet je wat ik fout heb gedaan?

Yes it should remove the player that bought the region, normally the buyer is added as member though. Did you generate a new config when updating to V2.1.0 by the way? The flagProfiles section changed and maybe that is why your owners/members things don't work. The default settings will only clear the members of a region, so if you want to also remove the owners you need to add a line with owners: '' to the flagProfiles sections. You could send me your config and explain what is not working.
@ForbiddenGlory
Then you probably have an error in your console, check the logs of your server and see if it has an error. Make sure you have all the required dependencies and the correct versions of them.
@spideremil10
Yeah okey, and did that help or do you still have the same problem? If you have a IP of a server I can hop on then I might be able to help (send it in a private message).

That should exactly be what AreaShop does, maybe you have your regions set up wrong? If you for example have a big region around the other regions then they might not be able to build in the plots. To fix that you can set the priority of the plot regions to 1 or higher, I recommend to first try that manually (/region setpriority <region> 1) and if that works you can add it to the 'flagProfiles' section in the config of AreaShop (add a line with 'priority: 1'). Then it should set the priority automatically.
If you still cannot figure it out then just leave a message again.
@frizzbee30
Great that you like it :D If you encounter any problems just report them here.
General note:
The french language file has been fully updated by Yaelknown and will be include in the next version of AreaShop, thanks Yaelknown!

At first I have to ask, which version of AreaShop are you using?
If a region is still in the system of AreaShop (shows up in the list of '/as info all' or '/as info region <region>' return something) then you cannot place a [buy] sign again, because those signs are for adding regions to AreaShop. If you want to add an extra sign to AreaShop you need to use [as] at the top line and the region name at the second line (if the sign is not inside the region). More info about that is on the page for setting up signs.
If you want to hide the [Sold] sign then deleting the sign from AreaShop with '/as delsign' is not a good idea, because that will disconnect the sign and prevent it from showing up again when the region has no owner anymore '(/as sell' has been used). If you want to hide the [Sold] signs you can change the flagProfiles section in the config.yml file to do so. If you set all 4 lines of the sold sign layout to '' (2 times single quote), then the sign will simply be removed when the region is sold. But the location of the sign is still remembered by AreaShop, so when the owner of the region is gone the sign will be placed at that spot again with the layout of the [For Sale] sign.
Hiding the [Sold] sign of just a couple regions is also possible if you use the group system, basically:
Then you can use the following to disable a sign for a region:
If you can send me the IP/hostname of your server then I could join to see how I can help you.

well, doing /as updatebuys somewhat fixed it (I replaced another sign that says that the region already has a buy sign set [buy] dv140, but repeating the same steps, placing one, blank, does nothing, another one with [buy] ,returns that this region is already set with a sign.
currentely, doing /as updatebuys doesn't replace it where I placed it first.
Another issue but well... Some players will request me to remove that sold sign, that I shiftclick (changed to /as delsign %region%) removes it successfully but when the player is inactive and I want to refresh the plot, I do /as sell <region>, the sign goes back from where I created the [buy] (schmeatic) doesn't have anything on the sign, I break it, I recreate the [buy] dv140, it says theres already a buy sign for this region. Do I need to do /as del <region> then recreate I guess? :P
Btw, awesome plugin, great replacement from SRM :)

Posted Dec 5, 2014Good news: version 2.1.0 of AreaShop has been uploaded!
Just a little waiting left for the approval here on BukkitDev, and then you can finally use this new version of AreaShop. What has changed? Check the changelog now.
If you have any issues with the new release, please create a ticket or let me know in another way. Only if I know about issues then I can fix them! Do you speak English and another language? Then please help translating AreaShop to that language, check the languages pagefor more information about how you can help.
Edit: The documentation should all be updated now, let me know if you find something that is wrong/missing.

As long as the player does not have permissions 'areashop.destroyrent' and 'areashop.destroybuy' he should not be able to directly break the sign (hitting it with leftclick). If someone does have this permission, then breaking the sign results in deleting the whole region (same as '/as del'), so that should be an admin only thing (by default it is OP only). If the player manages to indirectly break the sign (breaking the block below/behind the sign) then the sign detaches from the region and then the region will simply exist without the sign. So as long as the user cannot break the block behind/below then the sign is safe. If the sign is gone for another reason, for example if you used WorldEdit to get it away, then it will 'respawn' at the same place the next time the region is updated (by a sell/buy/rent/unrent action or by '/as updaterents' or '/as updatebuys'). Currently v2.0.2 has a bug that causes the sign to not keep the correct orientation, but that has been fixed for the upcoming update (it was already saving orientation and the type of sign, but when placing it the orientation was set wrong, resulting in always facing north).
So if your sign is gone you can first use '/as info region <region>' to check if it is still connected, then you can use '/as updatebuys' or '/as updaterents' to let it respawn. So now you know what the current situation is, do you think anything needs to change about this?

thanks! Also, if the player finds a way to break the sign, the plugin should autoreplace it (unlike SRM) to prevent any "bugs" or doing /as del <regionsign> and remaking another one XD... Well, that shouldn't cause a problem, doing /as sell <regionsign> first to reset the plot to its normal state, then /as del <regionsign> then recreate a new buy sign :)

The command indeed is '/as find' to find and teleport to a region. You are able to easily define a alias as you want by using the commands.yml file of Bukkit, on the linked wiki page is more about that. For your example you would use something like this:
Dynmap integration is something suggested earlier, and I may look into that soon. Meanwhile I think there already is a plugin that shows WorldGuard regions on Dynmap, and that already shows the owners/member of a region. So that way you could tell if the region is sold or not. But of course it would be neat if more information about the region is shown (price, duration, etc.).
General note:
I updated the Dutch translation of AreaShop today and made some minor changes to the plugin. I will try to start writing the changelog for the upcoming version tomorrow and then the release is getting close.

Posted Dec 4, 2014Does this plugin has something like in SimpleRegionMarket, "/srm gs" that auto teleports the player to the free plot available, because I need that command, I know theres the /as tp <region> but it requires that the player buys it in order to go there..EDIT: Nvm /am find buy, gotta create an alias like /pfindAnd if possible, a dynmap marker which says if the region is sold or available (to buy)?

What exactly do you mean with "I can't figure out how to set Location for safe"? If you set the teleport location outside of the region (or teleport to a sign outside of it) you need to have the 'teleportIntoRegion' setting at value 'false' (this setting can be found in default.yml, in the general section). Otherwise AreaShop will not allow you to teleport to the location, because it is outside of the region (this is to prevent players spawning outside of the region if the teleport function cannot spawn you safely anywhere inside of the region). The '/as find rent' command will use the same teleport function as '/as tp' does after it found a region. So to test if the teleport works you can just use the '/as tp' command.
If you describe exactly what you are trying and what the messages are that you get from AreaShop then I can help you better. Just let me know if you have fixed it or need more help.

Posted Dec 3, 2014I can't figure out how to set Location for safe to when using /as find rent. I have my sign just outside of region. I have tried /as settp [region] [reset] with and without reset. If I was to use /as tp [region] it tp's me to center of room. I'm running spigot 1.8 WG 6.0, WE 6.0, I tried AS 2.0.1 when I use /as find rent I get in return /AreaShop or /AS I'm running Areashop 2.0.2 since it works the most in 1.8. Just not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if it's a bug?
