RealName - Find Someone's Username
Tested with craftbukkit build 1.1-R1

Description: RealName is a very simple plugin that allows users to find another user's minecraft username if they know their display name. This is very useful for people who need to know their minecraft username for a command (ex: /tp). There are only two commands, one shows you a players Minecraft username, and the other shows you their display name.
Commands:
/rname <displayname> - Shows a player's username by searching their display name.
/dname <username> - Shows a player's display name.

Posted Nov 2, 2011Yup it currently works with a players name who has not had their name colour changed by the plugin. I look forward to being able to look up the names of players who have plugin changed colour names :)

Good idea :). In the meantime you can use a partial name, as long as their isn't a color change in it. So it should still work if someones name is a consistent color, but if it changes colors you should be able to get it using /rname with a part that has a consistent color, as long as nobody else has that in their name.

Posted Nov 2, 2011I am trying to get this to work in conjunction with the plugin DispNameChanger.
It will show me the display name that someone has but will not convert there display name to there username when there is colour symbols in the name.
As DispNameChanger is mostly used for making multi coloured names on the server that i am a admin on and it can be a pin to remember everyones nicknames it would be epic if you could add this functunality to it.
