RealmsChat

RealmsChat is a lightweight, and permission free, Local Chat solution with 'Sending Stones' that act like walkie talkies.

Sending Stones work by having one within your hotbar and talking normally in chat - your message will then be sent out locally (as if you were talking on a phone) and to those within range of your Sending Stone whom also have one on their hotbar and are on the same frequency.

Almost everything can be configured to your liking, Local Chat range, Sending Stone range, the name of the stones, the name of the chat channel, even the name of "frequency" itself. The Config file is simple to use and easy to understand.

Sending Stones have 1-9 Frequencies that can be changed by left (or right) clicking an Iron Block.

While creating and managing our own server, we came across ideas and plugins we wished to introduce but were too cumbersome or bogged down in permission nodes and features that we were never going to use. While those plugins may work fantastically for other servers, they weren't the simple solution we were looking for in our Survival PvP + PvE based server. We set about writing our own plugins, the things we wanted that were lightweight and without overly complex config files or permission nodes. I don't know if other people will find them useful, but they were for us; and if there are other people out there looking to start their own server wanting a Semi-Vanilla experience but not wanting complicated systems, then hopefully they help!
