RealChop
Add a gravity to trees!
When you chop down a tree, it will fall to the side. Leaves will fall on top of it.
Since you hold your axe in your right hand, you are cutting the tree on the right, so it falls to it's right. If any parts of the tree are attached to another block (including diagonally), they will not fall.

Posted May 23, 2016To the best of my knowledge, it does have an option to drop leaf blocks. Check the config.
Also check out this plug-in called Tree Assist:
http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/tree-assist/
I use both as they compliment each other.
Tree Assist let's you set a % chance of dropped saplings automatically replanting themselves, so even if players chop the tree, and dont re-plant the saplings, there's still a chance for the tree to grow back automatically. I have mine set to 10% chance which seems like a good balance.

A link to it would be great, as bukkit probably don't have the staff to do the approving.

Posted Sep 8, 2014If someone interested - now i working on the same plugin, but for Forge.
I think, it looks great.
But need support from client side (need to instal mod on client-side too, not only on server).
Plugin can be downloaded here (for 1.6.4 now):

Posted Sep 8, 2014I understand, i think many plugin's dev search a new game.
Perhaps some join the spigot's team, but future is dark...
Thanks to your work, your kindess.

Posted Sep 6, 2014Version 0.8.4 has been submitted for approval. If you want to get it early, check GitHub's releases tab as always, again note that these builds are not approved by BukkitDev staff.
Thanks for supporting the plugin, and if you ever need to get in touch past this point, the best way is probably to drop me an email at lucariatias<at>gmail<dot>com

I'll get probably the last build from me out (with Vovic's patch for the new trees) but that'll probably be it, I have very little motivation to work with Bukkit or Minecraft given the current situation.
