Description:

RankSigns is a rank up plugin in which you can rank up or buy permission nodes via signs. It also uses economy to rank up or buy permissions. All you have to do is set up a simple RankSigns sign. This plugin requires Vault and a permissions and economy plugin that supports Vault. This plugin has many more features to add. If you have a suggestion, let me know. Just an update to 1.7.2

Setting up a RankSigns sign:

Making the signs can be confusing. Please take a look at the image at the top right corner of the page if you are having problems.

Line 1: [RankSign] OR [PermSign] OR whatever you have specified in the config
Line 2: The Rank or Permission node that is being sold
Line 3: Price (This can also be set to free, or left blank if you set the currency to none)
Line 4: Unused, but maybe time?

Config:

currency: Can be set to none (allowing line 3 to be blank) or money
Shorter Permissions: With this feature in the config, you can have a permission node that doesn't fit on a sign renamed to something that will fit on the sign. An example is already available in the config. You can do as many as you want and even rename permissions that already do fit on the sign. With this feature, the permission in permsign.buyperm.[permission] will not be the shorter version, it will be the actual permission node. This new feature can be confusing, so if you need help I will be glad to help!
Sign Headers: Edit the first line which indicates a rank/perm sign

Permissions:

ranksign.buyrank: Gives permission to buy all permissions
ranksign.buyrank.[rank]: Gives permission to buy a rank from a RankSign
permsign.buyperm: Gives permission to buy all permissions
permsign.buyperm.[permission]: Gives permission to buy a perm from a PermSign
ranksign.create: Gives permission to create RankSigns
permsign.create: Gives permission to create PermSigns

Commands:

/ranksigns: Shows version of plugin and what you can do based on your permissions.

Well this would be done through your permissions plugin. You would have to give the higher rank the permissions of the rank that is lower and also the added ranks. Lets say I had Rank1 and rank one had warp,tpa,nick I would give Rank2 which is one rank higher tpa,warp,nick plus the permissions it should add on and you do that for every rank. What I just explained has to be done through your permissions plugin.

What exactly does this plugin do? How can I set it so that a player doesn't lose its current rank when he ranks up? For example, if a player has the rank 'Member' and ranksup to 'Rank2', I want that player to have both 'Member' and 'Rank2'. If he ranks up to 'Rank3' I want that player to have the three ranks, 'Member', 'Rank2', 'Rank3'.

Just guessing here, double check that the person or persons trying to buy the perms, Has permission to use signs. ranksign.buyrank ranksign.buyrank.[rank] permsign.buyperm permsign.buyperm.[permission]

rank signs does NOT work for bukkit 1.7.2 and conflicts with sign colors, which is sad cause i actually need a plugin like this T_T

Well, the new feature you put in is completely broken. I literally have been sitting here for 2 days trying to figure this thing out. I set the node to:

- permsign.buyperm.arena.class.use.juggernaut

So that the user can purchase the permissions to use the juggernaut class in the arena. I then do this in the config:

Jug: arena.class.use.juggernaut

so that it can be shortened to fit on the sign. The user then attempts to purchase the permission from a sign labeled like this:

Line1: [PermSign]
Line2: Jug
Line3: 10
Line4: Empty

Then the use receives a message saying they don't have the permission to purchase the permission. I have literally tried this a million different times. Any solution?

This really is perfect. I've been searching for a plugin like this that works. My only problem is that the plugin sets the Rank for the world that the person is in when they've purchased the rank. My server starts you off in the flatland. (Less Lag) Then you Teleport to the survival world when you'r ready. I would rather not make a shop in the survival world, but I don't mean to pester you with this. Anyways, if there is a way can you tell me? Thanks man.

I don't understand, since I can't fit the entire permission node on one line, how else can I do it?

EDIT: Found out the shortened version actually fills for the large version.
