RankMeUp
With this plugin, players can with 1 command use money to go up one rank.
This plugin needs the following 3 plugins installed:
- Permissions (Any permissions plugin supported by Vault (Group Manager seems to only work on some servers), preferably bPermissions)
- Vault
- Economy (Any supported by Vault and (important) Vault's bank feature!)
It will not work without those 3 plugins!
The ranking system is based on the tracks.yml file in the bPermissions folder, or by default the tracks.yml file in your RankMeUp plugin folder. Each time a new rank is bought, the player is promoted to the next rank in that file.
In the plugins config file (config.yml), you can set a default cost for players to pay when they wanna rank up. If you wanna be more precise on some of the ranks, or all the ranks, you can give each rank a custom price under 'costs'. Under 'costs' just simply put the rank name, followed by the price. The ranks not defined, will use the default cost. Set "useOwnTrack" to false, if you use bPermissions, as it allows you to use the tracks.yml file in the bPermissions plugin folder instead.
The plugin have 3 command (with a shortcut command).
- /RankMeUp - Will rank up the player saying it if he has enough money
- /RankMeUp next - Will show how much money you have, and how much more you need
- /RankMeUp player <player> - Will rank up the desired player without using any money
- /RankMeUp help - Will show you the commands with a short description
The shortcut command is /RMU
To allow players to use the RankMeUp command, give them the following permission node:
rankmeup.rankmeup
To allow admins to rank up players without using any money, give them the following permission node:
rankmeup.admin

Edit:
Before i got to actually testing, i noticed that your "EcoEconomy" plugin is not supported by the "bank" feature of Vault. That might be the problem, and theres not really anything i can do about that. If you want a fix, you might have to change to one of the supported economy plugins that also supports "bank" :) If you try it out, then please get back to me if it worked for you or not.

Posted Apr 26, 2012Great plugin, exactly what im looking for. I know you posted that you probably wont add anything else, but please consider 2 things.
1. customized global announcement announce = {player} has ranked up to {rank}!
2. customized currency type , right now it just says rank 10000.0 but instead attach currency = dollars
so it would show 10000.0 dollars or some people use coins etc.

In the newest version, "/rmu" is the command taking money, and "/rmu player <player>" is the command that gives a player a free rank.

When your/my plugin is red when doing /plugins, it means that the plugin is disabled. I made the plugin to automatic disable if an error occured on start. Please check your log for more information, and post it back here if you need more help! + I haven't tested it with anything else than "ÃCononmy", but it should support all conomy plugins supported by Vault :) + I haven't tested it with any other permissions plugin than bPermissions (which i know works, cause i use it), but it should since V 0.3 support other permissions plugins. Sorry i didn't answer that quickly, but i think i'm in another timezone, and i was asleep. :-)

Hi. I Just uploaded RankMeUp V 0.3 which supports all permission plugins upported by Vault. When the file gets approved for download here on bukkit, please test it with pex or what you would like, and let me know how it goes :)

As far as i can see, yes, Vault supports both. The problem is that my plugin is based on the tracks.yml in the bperms folder. If any other permissions plugin is supported by vault, and have a file just with the ranking order i can make it work with that plugin aswell. So if you wanna use pex, please find out if pex have a "ranking order" file like tracks.yml, and if it does, i will gladly make it for u. :)
Edit: I migh't actually just install pex on my server, and try to figure out how to make my plugin work with pex aswell :)
