Rail Mob
Having problems that you're always being pushed back when you hit a mob/player who is blocking your way on a rail? Not anymore with Rail Mob.
When something is standing on your track, this plugin pushes them of the track when you're getting near them.

Posted Jan 22, 2015Hi, If you round your velocity higher like this it will work at lower speeds. No need to check for 0 since the player is moving.
if (velocityx<0) { vx-=1; } else { vx+=1; }
You can prevent killing players by checking if the entity is a player. If it is a player, then do nothing, otherwise apply your normal logic.

Posted Jan 21, 2014Hello :)
I really like the Idea of your plugin, however, I am worried about my players getting killed in our minecart station for accidentally tripping on a rail or being to close to it, since the detection radius is quite high..
Could you implement a feature to configure the force with which players/mobs are being pushed?

Posted Jan 11, 2014When you say "push", does it send them flying backward, or does it just "teleport" them a few blocks away from the track? If it sends them flying, could you make the velocity and angle at which they fly back configurable by some factor?
Could you also make it so that the minecart does damage depending on the velocity at which it hits a mob/player? So if it hits a mob/player at a higher speed, it will deal more damage. How damage scales to velocity should be configurable by yet another factor.
And last but not least, could you add a configurable option (determined by a boolean value) on whether carts should slow down upon hitting a mob/player? If set to true, there should be yet another (configurable) factor to determine how the velocity should be affected. (e.g. the minecart could be set to lose 10% velocity each time it hits a mob, or possibly even gain 10% velocity up to the server's maximum for every mob it hits, which would be a rather novel effect.)

Posted Jan 10, 2014Works really fine, love to see my people getting thrown away and die hard.
But may you add the function that if you hit another minecart, it will break?
PS: ah and btw, if there is more than one mob, it doesnt work :( so it basically has to be faster. e.g if there are 2 mobs with a distance of 5 blocks on the road, the first one gets thrown away, but your minecart stops and drives the other way.

Posted Jul 27, 2012You know what? Maybe add a feature just for mobs that makes them fly like they were hit by a train going 450 MPH?
:D

Posted Jul 21, 2012Can you maybe launch the player/mob in the air as if he has been hit this would be great if you could add an ability to enable and disable it

Hello,
About 50% of the time you stop or go backwards when something is in the way and if you have alot of chickens(example) it stops you no matter how many times u try to drive them over.

Posted Jul 13, 2012I think he means the implied proposal is adding a feature to kill instead of push. :)
